I agree.  Which is why I wouldn’t be upset if there was an asterisk next to Brees breaking Marino’s record.

However, he just said “show me 1 QB who has had a successful lasting career with that PATHETIC of a rating.”  He didn’t add “in the past 10 years.”

 

JaMarcus Russell was a good college QB. So was Ryan Leaf. And David Carr. As well as Tim Couch and Joey Harrington. Doesn't mean they'll be able to adjust to the NFL.

Tebow hasn't adjusted to the NFL. He's in a position where the NFL has to adjust to HIM. And as long as they continue to do that...he'll eventually be an afterthought.

And if he DOES improve...I'll be fine in saying I was wrong. But I don't see it happening.

You wish I were a linesmaker. No one would ever cover. Posts 1638, 1654, 1684, 1759, 1762, 1797 would have explained my positions on tebow and romo and you would have learned something. I am on the side that tebow’s team is bad, his coaches are idiots, and tebow is out on the field alone with no help. I am not a fan of the chiefs, I am a fan of the national football league. I study and know about every team in the NFL to find a bettors edge. I will not have any action on the broncos vs. chiefs game this sunday. I will be cheering for the broncos because I relate to being an under dog but I believe the chiefs are going to win and are clearly the better coached and supremely talented team. If you studied the game, you would know that.

JaMarcus Russell had zero work ethic and just wanted to be paid and get high all day. Ryan Leaf played one season in college for the PAC 12 and won absolutely nothing. David Carr another unproven QB taken out of the WAC that accomplished nothing. Tim Couch played one good year in college, won nothing, and left early for money. Joey Harrington actually did some things in college but was drafted by the lions, enough said. Tebow has good leadership skills, strong work ethic, won 15 awards, played in the toughest conference and won 2 SEC championships and won 2 national titles. It’s disrespectful to even put those guys in the same category as tebow. The problem is he plays for the broncos, which are poorly coached and have zero talent on the offensive side of the ball. Maybe tebow can get an opportunity one day like vick has and be surrounded by great coaches and elite talent. Vick was awful at throwing the ball, had horrible coaching, and had no elite talent surrounding him throughout his career. Now vick has an elite running back, great wide receivers, great tight ends, and a monster defense and has football wise coaches surrounding him that have taught him to play the quarterback position and have put him in a position to succeed. I know the eagles underachieved this year but they will be in contention for a super bowl trophy the next 5 years.

First off, Tim Tebow had a better college career than all those guys.

Secondly, none of those guys had the intangibles Tim Tebow has 

And lastly, I wasn’t claiming that because Tim Tebow was great in college that means he’ll be good/able to adjust to the NFL.  Instead I was merely questioning the people that think there is no way one of the three greatest college football players of all time (arguably) will get even a little bit better after his 13th career NFL start.

Personally, I don’t think you ever would.

IMO, he could finish in the top 3 for MVP voting and win the Super Bowl in the same season and you would still find some excuse.  “His teammates did all the work,” “it was a fluke,” etc.

 

  You are continuing to show your bias. He will never be an afterthought, no matter what happens from here.  Not after what has transpired this year.  You don't get it; never will.  And what good will it do to someday post that you were wrong, after 900 posts insinuating the guy is a bum.

Over the course of an NFL season, you will play teams that are conservative and then run into a buzz saw of an offense.  Tim Tebow is a good quarterback, but he is terribly inaccurate, and you simply can not win championships with the way he throws the ball.  Can you beat an inept Miami team?  Yep.  Raiders (with a quarterback who just go off the couch?) Yep.  Chiefs (with thier high school offense?) Yep. And so on, and so on...  But you don't play teams like that every week (especially in their terrible division).  So. As of right now, until the Brocons play more teams (like the Lions), the "haters" will be on the losing side.

Tebow and the Broncos are going to win games.. but they will consistently be around .500.  Hell, the fans were booing in that game (after their 8th straight punt).  My guess is this; The fans love it now, but over the course of the season(s); it will get old.  136 yards of total offense will not cut it and eventually they will get tired of winning, and most of all losing, close ball games. 

It's all roses and candy now.  But just wait until game after game, they see their team punt... and while doing it, lose against teams that have an actual offense.  It will get really old, really fast for Denver fans.

So just be patient.

Tim Tebow is nothing more than a Wildcat QB.  He is outclassed at the position by every other team in the NFL.
