Like I said before...I made this thread, giving my opinion on Tim Tebow the night where there were 10+ threads talking about how great he is. If you are so mad about this thread...simply don't post in it. You're doing exactly what I'm doing, and that's giving your opinion.

And I appreciate that you care about my life and well-being...but I'm fine. I enjoy this discussion. I enjoy the back and fourth. Most of my friends are the kind of people who say "no, you're wrong" and are done with it. Sure there are people like that one here...but going back and fourth with wake and sharpshooter has been fun.

But how do my "spins" make me look stupid? The fact that Tebow puts up terrible stats week in and week out and the defense playing well for most of his run and the strength of schedule should all be thrown out the window because he's winning? I look deeper into these things and if you don't like me questioning it...than that's fine.

This forum may be called "NFL Betting"...but I go through these forums to discuss the league more than discuss betting.

You can say I'm obsessed with this and of course I am. As you can see by my post count I'm obsessed with sports altogether. It's my passion and I'm sure I'm not the only one on this forum whose obsessed with sports.

you just cant stand the love can ya old sparky ?

I rather hear about him than Lohan and Kardashian, that's for sure.

I don't hate the guy. I really don't. I'm not a fan of him as a football player because he get so much undeserved hype. I hate the fact that, while I'm trying to watch highlights of NFL Sunday...he's on 80% of SportsCenter as they try to break down his 4 good passes on the day. That is why I have a problem with him. So many better players in the league yet he's the one getting all the attention.

He might not be a good or even average player, but to claim he flat out sucks is beyond ignorant.  Even the most hardcore of Tebow haters on ESPN have admitted they were wrong about him (or at least changed what their original claim was so they don’t look foolish).

And it’s understandable.  Some people are simply too prideful.

You just better hope Denver loses and Oakland wins because it would pretty funny seeing you claim a guy sucks when he takes over as QB of a terrible 1-4 team and leads them to their first division title in half a decade.

He might not be a good or even average player, but to claim he flat out sucks is beyond ignorant.  Even the most hardcore of Tebow haters on ESPN have admitted they were wrong about him (or at least changed what their original claim was so they don’t look foolish).

I don't need to hope for anything. He'll be one and done in the playoffs.

So if he continues to be horrible next season, is around or under .500, he's still good?

You're very specific and never read between the lines. You read this title and all disregard anything that is said in this thread. I've said countless times that he's a good runner, so it doesn't take a genius to know that I mean Tebow sucks as a quarterback. Especially when everything I talk about is his terrible stats and that the rare occasion that I give him credit...it's either off one of his nice passes in a game or him scrambling for a first down and being hard to take down.

Come on man...I thought you were better than that.

This is the STARTING line up tebow has to work with

Eric Decker a number THREE but is playing the number ONE position.
Demaryius Thomas who is in his SECOND year and has started in ONLY SEVEN games his whole career.
Dante Rosario is a TIGHT END playing FULLBACK.
Chris Clark is a TACKLE playing TIGHT END.
Willis McGahee ACL, PCL, MCL, rib cage, ankle, stomach, eye, shoulder, knee, ankle, fractured his hand twice and multiple hamstring injury’s.
Lance Ball who has been CUT FOUR times is a PRACTICE squad player playing the STARTING role.
Jeremiah Johnson who has been CUT THREE times and is only on the roster because Moreno got hurt.
Tebow also has FOUR other PRACTICE squad players to work with that are not worth mentioning.

Of course, your spins make you look stupid. The problem is your quick to jump on tebow and not look at the players around him, which makes you look ignorant and stupid. Then you decided to use strength of schedule and that again makes you look stupid because that shows you don’t know anything about the teams he has faced. Then you say you look deeper into things and have no idea that tebow’s teammates are pathetic, and you don’t know anything about the teams he has faced and… that makes you look stupid. It shows people you have no idea what you are talking about, just like the media and that makes you look stupid. Then you tell me about le'ron mcclain and you say he doesn’t even have a 100 yards this season? Not even knowing he’ a FULLBACK! That makes you look even more stupid.

Haha, already hedging your bets, huh?

What you and all the other Tebow haters conveniently forget is that Denver is a below average team with one of the worst set of offensive weapons and arguably the worst #1 receiver in the NFL.

But hey, if Tebow didn’t suck he could not only take over a terrible 1-4 team and lead them to their first division title in half a decade, but he could win in the playoffs with a below average team as well, right?

I doubt even Brady, Brees, or Rodgers could win with this team in the postseason against a team like Pittsburg, but hey, if Tebow didn’t suck he could do it, right?

Your hatred clouds your judgment, sparky.

Thats the good and bad thing about sports. We all have opinions, and we will know the answer in the long run. It does suck that we have to wait to find out more, but thats part of the fun.

This thread has gotten filled with way too many "band wagoners" one way or the other. The same people who will not return if their opinion is proved to be wrong.

I see something special in Tim Tebow. Some people look at it as "No QB can have horrible stats and last in the NFL, even if he is winning now."

I look at it as, he is finding a way to win without having any experience or weapons on offense. The ability to find a way to win is amazing to me. He definitely needs to continue to improve, and that will remain to be seen.

So we should blame the recievers for Tebow underthrowing them?

How am I "hedging my bets"?

And you keep saying that Tebow lead his team to these wins. And I don't know if I saw it from you...but I keep seeing that the QB is the leader and the guy who deserves all the credit. So should Trent Dilfer get credit for winning the superbowl? What about Rex Grossman for making it there? Of course not. Now I'm not comparing defenses...but you HAVE to give credit to the defense when it is due and you have to bring strength of schedule into the mix when talking about Tebow bringing a 1-4 team back to be in the playoffs.

Now how could you "doubt" that Brady, Brees and Rodgers couldn't do what they do with the Broncos? It's not like these guys are working with top notch defenses. Some of the worst in yards per game actually. The only reason the Broncos allow more points per game is because Tebow isn't an offensive threat leaving the game within FG while the others blow out their opponents so that they have to try for TD's late. I think that those 3 QBs could bring out the best in Denver's WR core. I mean look at Deion Branch. He was a star with Brady as QB, then went to Seattle and was horrible, then went back to New England and played well again. You could argue that Tebow's style of offense would hurt the Patriots, Packers and Saints MORE than the possibility of their QBs hurting the Broncos.

And that's the toughest part for ME. This could be Tebow's best season. He could be a backup in 2 years and I would be right with my opinion that Tebow isn't good. But, until then, I'm fighting with everyone whose calling me stupid because, at the moment, you guys have all the leverage. Hell...I'm fighting with a guy right now whose trying to convince me that the Chiefs have a solid offense. I can't even argue with that because numbers speak for themselves.

You are hedging your bets by trying to act like it’s meaningless to take over as QB of a terrible 1-4 team and lead them to a division title and unless Tebow can make a playoff run with a below average team it means he sucks.

I doubt Brady, Brees, and Rodgers could beat Pittsburgh with this Denver team because this team has arguably the worst set of offensive weapons in the NFL to go along with the worst #1 receiver and no TE to speak of.

And the defense that is allegedly carrying this team is one of the 10 worst in the NFL and would have to keep pace with the #1 defense.

All things considered Denver has, at best, a below average team and the fact that they are even in a position to make the postseason with a game left is surprising so stop trying to act like winning a division title with a 1-4 team is meaningless.

    Let go of your hatred.

Sorry guys...I just can't argue anymore. I'm sick of getting this bullshit virus from this pathetic site so I've said my peace and I can't say any more (not that there is anything else I can say that I haven't before).

But I gotta get off this thing before I get another virus.

Nice job making this such an epic thread.

1 - Thats very true, he could also improve and become one of the elite QBs in the league. I feel like Tebow and Newton are redefining the QB position. I will say this though, I would want Cam New ton my favorite team (Dolphins) but not Tebow. I truly feel/rationally think Tebow can continue to get a little bit better every week and turn into the best quarterback in the NFL. There is also a chance it doesn't work out though which is why I wouldn't want it.

2 - Chiefs offense BLOWS. Their games should be an auto-under bet every week. While it can improve with Orton, it is unrealistic to think a slightly below average QB can go put alot of points on the board with very few practice reps. End of story

3 - get a new internet broswer. try google chrome you will be able to run the site with no viruses.

    Yup, he sure does suck.

     “But….but….but….his stats aren’t pretty.”

gravvy......where would denver be if orton was still  at the helm of this team...think about it.
