    Title town btch    Team  Tebow

That's completely uncalled for. Not one of those QB's you mentioned have been on SportsCenter 1/1000 of the time Tebow has.

Denver was 13-23, now they are 1st place and 7-2 under tebow, and going into the playoffs with 24 dropped passes this year. The broncos in tebow’s two losses, allowed 11 sacks, fumbled the ball 9 times, and the most over hyped defense, gave up 86 points.
I posed this and all i saw wasthe truth creates silence.

Let’s look at the help tebow has on offense… no o-line, no rb’s, no te’s, no wr’s, willis mcgahee a recycled RB at the end of his career who is always injured and is nowhere to be seen in the most important moments of a game and? Let me know if you can come up with another player because I can’t.

Let’s dissect tebow’s two losses, broncos allowed 11 sacks, fumbled the ball 9 times, and the most over hyped defense, gave up 86 points.

Let’s look at Tebow’s football resume:
    2× SEC Championships
    2× BCS National Championships
    2× First-team All-American
    1× Second-team All-American
    3× First-team All-SEC
    AP Player of the Year
    Davey O'Brien Award
    2× Maxwell Award
    Heisman Trophy winner
    NCAA QB of the Year
    Manning Award
    William V. Campbell Trophy
    James E. Sullivan Award
SEC Offensive Player of the Year
SEC Championship Game Most Valuable Player
Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Year
    Sugar Bowl Most Outstanding Player

    Tebow
    Career NFL statistics
    TD–INT            16-5
    Pass yards      2,138
    QB Rating        83.2
    Rushing Yards  837
    Rushing Td’s    11

The above shows why others and I seem to believe, tebow is a starter and should be a starter. It’s clear with his resume he has earned it.

The idea that tebow is liked is because of a popularity contest, not because of his ability and that skelton should be given the same amount of credit make no sense at all.

    Skelton’s football resume:
Fordham University, played in the Patriot league, and won zero awards.
    Career NFL statistics
    TD–INT      10–12
    Pass yards 2,007
    QB Rating   66.8
    Rush yards  152
    Rush Td’s     0

People are surprised tebow is 7-2 as a starter? I am surprised he is 7-2 as a starter with the coaches and players he is surrounded with. The man has played 12 games in his nfl career with zero help other than his clutch kicker. He has put up good numbers, and has his team in the playoffs and is 7-2 as a starter this year with an awful coach and a pathetic team. Incredible!

It's that he has a bad game just about every game, yet everyone makes it out to be as if he demolished every team he's played from start to finish when that's FAR from the truth.

And yes...Tebow did face the Bears defense. And did you see how he played against them? He was absolutely terrible. And if Cutler and Forte were playing...he would be on a 2 game losing streak right now. He may not be going head to head against Cutler and Forte...but to say the outcome would have been the same with those 2 playing means you clearly didn't follow the Bears before their injuries.

You say the people putting Tebow down are "weak minded" by letting the "media tell them how to feel". I don't know what shows you're watching of late...but all the media has told ME is that Tebow is absolutely amazing. It was very nice this week to watch all the highlights in full...without having to hear how great Tebow is in between every one of them.

And you're right...all those other QB's suck too. But you know why I didn't make a thread about them? Because I didn't see 10+ threads talking about how great they were after they scored 1 TD in a game. Where ARE the Skelton threads talking about how much of a "winner" he is? I don't think he's good. I've watched his games too. Beanie Wells, the defense and Pattrick Peterson on special teams are carrying the Cardinals right now...not Skelton. He's just taking the snaps. I just pose the rhetorical questions of "why aren't you praising Skelton for winning" because I want to find the hypocrites around here.

And the reason why I didn't comment on your post originally is because, as you said, you read page 1 then skipped to page 64-65. What I told you right now I've said before (if not multiple times already). But since it's such a hot thread...I figured I'd respond.

That's the whole point, I'm sick of it. I just want to be able to watch espn without hearing about how Tim Tebow beat some other shitty team in the 4th quarter because he couldn't put up any points in the 1st 3.

I have nothing against Tebow and he's certainly accomplishing a lot more than a lot of other QB's out there. But everyone's making him out to be this God. There are much bigger stories than Tebow yet the media is over hyping the shit out of him. Give the kid some experience and he has the potential to be a great QB. But as it stands, there are bigger stories.

it's still a lame excuse for anyone to say that they would rather have a QB that win less games so they can draft andrew luck.

While you might hate it, the reason so many people in the media are talking about Tim Tebow is there is no bigger story in sports than Tebow.  Also I would love to hear what stories heading into last weekend you thought were “much bigger” than Tebow.

Hell, and it’s it not just the sports media.  Because Tebow is one of the biggest stories in the country Tebow is getting plenty of attention from network news and cable news as well.

The guy is a ratings machine.  If you don’t like it: turn the channel.  Just don’t be surprised when the channel you change it to is talking about Tebow as well.

I’ve noticed that some of the Tebow haters seem to be conveniently forgetting that Tebow took over a shitty 1-4 team that had thrown in the towel.  And even now the Broncos aren’t very good.  A defense that ranks 22nd (although they have improved) and Tebow has arguably the worst set of offensive weapons in the NFL to work with.  Even with all that Tebow has a 7-2 record as a starter this season and will most likely lead his team to the playoffs.

But hey, as everyone knows, when you take over a shitty 1-4 team you are supposed to win the Super Bowl that season.  So when the Broncos lose in the playoffs there will be a chorus of “haha, see, we were right all along and this proves it. Tebow is terrible.”

Let me know if you can come up with another player because I can’t.

Let’s dissect tebow’s two losses, broncos allowed 11 sacks, fumbled the ball 9 times, and the most over hyped defense, gave up 86 points.

Let’s look at Tebow’s football resume:
    2× SEC Championships
    2× BCS National Championships
    2× First-team All-American
    1× Second-team All-American
    3× First-team All-SEC
    AP Player of the Year
    Davey O'Brien Award
    2× Maxwell Award
    Heisman Trophy winner
    NCAA QB of the Year
    Manning Award
    William V. Campbell Trophy
    James E. Sullivan Award
SEC Offensive Player of the Year
SEC Championship Game Most Valuable Player
Southeastern Conference Offensive Player of the Year
    Sugar Bowl Most Outstanding Player

    Tebow
    Career NFL statistics
    TD–INT            16-5
    Pass yards      2,138
    QB Rating        83.2
    Rushing Yards  837
    Rushing Td’s    11

The above shows why others and I seem to believe, tebow is a starter and should be a starter. It’s clear with his resume he has earned it.

The idea that tebow is liked is because of a popularity contest, not because of his ability and that skelton should be given the same amount of credit make no sense at all.

    Skelton’s football resume:
Fordham University, played in the Patriot league, and won zero awards.
    Career NFL statistics
    TD–INT      10–12
    Pass yards 2,007
    QB Rating   66.8
    Rush yards  152
    Rush Td’s     0

People are surprised tebow is 7-2 as a starter? I am surprised he is 7-2 as a starter with the coaches and players he is surrounded with. The man has played 12 games in his nfl career with zero help other than his clutch kicker. He has put up good numbers, and has his team in the playoffs and is 7-2 as a starter this year with an awful coach and a pathetic team. Incredible!

I REALLY WISHED CURRENT DALLAS QB TONY ROMO HAD THIS RESUME. BOYS WOULD BE AT LEAST 12-2 RIGHT NOW

If ROMO had only 1/2 of TEBOWS "CRED" IMAGINE how good the COWGIRLS  could be

Facts are the Broncos BELIEVE in TIM TEBOW that he will LEAD them to a VICTORY

Could TT be GOD's GIFT to NFL?

Shooter is taking things out of context to prove his point. I was the one that brought up the ravens d. But how and why did I bring it up? I used Dilfer as an example/comparison to Tebow of being a game manager and said currently that is all tebow is and has to do to keep his team in games. Never did I say that Denver was a Raven's D from 2000.

Tebow loses to the Pats and the haters say, "SEE! Tebow sucks." Me and Sparky said nothing of the sort. I in fact, thought and said, he played alright and showed a little improvement.

The Pats win 41-23 and the lovers say, "Well, excuse excuse excuse." Not a lover so N/A

IT'S PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYED BY PROFESSIONAL ATHLETES! Totally Respect Tebow and his heart and his ability to be playing pro and win all those game with the Gators! Nothing against him and actually have cashed with Denver until the last bit of a slide ATS

Good teams lose. Bad teams lose. And both good and bad teams can win too! Good players have bad games.  Bad players have bad games and the same for both in having good games. Tebow has consistently looked bad/average not one or two bad games. More like he has had one or two good games!

Here's my point...Aaron Rodgers and crew just lost to the Chiefs.  THE CHIEFS! While chasing an undefeated season.  Where is all the "Aaron Rodgers sucks!" talk? It's ok for Rodgers to have a bad game but not Tebow? Let Timmy T play a couple years and then let's evaluate his QB skills and success.I totally think he can progress into a quality Qb and am cheering for him to do so! I have said all along it is a wait and see but right now he isn't that good but who knows what can happen. Yes, saying he sucks is harsh and he doesn;t suck but he isn't good! Yet!

I'm sick of hearing people say, "Tebow has only beaten bad teams" or "He only beat the Bears because there was no Forte or Cutler."  IT'S TEBOW VS BEARS DEFENSE! NOT VERSUS CUTLER AND FORTE!

And if he has 7 wins against "bad teams"...then why aren't you going to some thread about those teams and putting them down? It's just sickening to see WEAK MINDED people let the media tell them how to feel.Sorry but most of the teams have been bad or in bad situations (Oak Palmer first start). They have had great breaks along the way but can't hate on breaks just acknowledge them. I think people are more frustrated with people touting Tebow when the TEAM has been winning. They act like this guy is saving the broncos and killing teams!

Tebow is just another player in the NFL who is doing something pretty amazing to watch. Things like this have happened before. He has a lot of work to do with passing but if you're one of those IDIOTS who knows one phrase, "he sucks" then realize that that goes for a decent amount of other QB's in the leagues.  According to your narrow tunnel vision of hate, Gabbert, Sanchez, Ponder, Orton, Moore, McCoy, Skelton, Painter and more all suck.  If you agree, then go spend your time evenly hating them too. Not just Tebow No doubt those Qb's have big issues as well! This Tebow thread has more so just gotten out of control. That is all. Plus it has been hilarious the way he has been winning and that no dubt has added fuel to the fire! For lover they love seeing the wins and for Haters they can't believe the stlye he is winning with. Clearly there is not going to be a winner of this debate for a couple years!

This is for you DG, responses in BOLD. Not so silent anymore! :)

I haven’t taken things out of context because, quite frankly, there is no need.

While you did bring up the Ravens your post wasn’t one of the worst ones I was thinking of.  I don’t think they were even in this thread.

What do you think of these numbers shooter?

Defense under Orton: 28 ppg allowed
Defense under Tebow: 20.25 ppg allowed
Offense under Orton: 21 ppg scored
Offense under Tebow: 19.75 ppg scored

So, even though Tebow averages fewer ppg than Orton did, you feel he is somehow respnsible for the wins?  What about the defense, who is giving up nearly 8ppg less than when Orton was QB?  Why the hell do you Tebow ball jugglers not give them any credit?

Also, there is no doubt that the Tebow love is a popularity contest.  He was the number one selling jersey last year, despite riding the fucking bench.

I suppose it’s all just a huge coincidence that the defense started playing better once they had a QB that was a true leader with passion and inspired a sense of “we will find a way to win this game” instead of “this game is over.”

Tebow had absolutely nothing to do with it, right?  I’m sure the defense would be playing the exact same way if they had Orton sleepwalking through the game as if they had arguably the most clutch 4th quarter QB in the NFL this season.

Believe it or not a defense tends to be more fired up when they have a QB that they believe will find a way to win than if they have a QB that they have no faith in.

And no, I’m NOT saying Tebow is the sole reason the defense is playing better, but he is at least a small part of it.

Yes, the kid is popular and is making more money because of it.

Personally, I think that’s a good thing.  I would rather Tebow make more money that he is going to use to help poor and sick people than another player who would spend most of it on stuff like jewelry and strippers.

I dont have anything against Tebow.  Im just tired of hearing about him. He really hasn't proven much in my opinion, and now  I dont think its even possible for him to live up to the hype others have created around him.  But in regards to the defense, they are professionals and should have some god damn pride in their performance no matter who is playing QB.  It should be unacceptable to anyone analyzing these games that Tebow gets the credit for the performance of the D.

The defense got healthy...as we've been over multiple times with Elvis Dumervil and DJ Williams being out/injured for the first 5-6 weeks of the season.

ESPN, sports radio, etc. are in the business of making money.  They make more money by getting better ratings.  Right now Tebow is a ratings machine.

Hell, they had a poll question last week asking “which is the bigger story: Tim Tebow or the 13-0 Packers?”

Every state but Wisconsin picked Tebow.

I agree defenses should play with pride in their performance regardless of who their QB is, but that’s just not the way it is.  It seems it’s way too easy for teams to get deflated and just give up when things aren’t going their way.

And that’s one of the many things Tebow brings to the table.  Even when things aren’t going Denver’s way the defense knows if they keep it close Tebow WILL come through when it matters most.  They sure as shit didn’t feel that way with Orton.

So going from what they had to having a warrior and a great leader at QB that they believe will come through in the clutch if they can keep it close has absolutely no impact on a defense?

Yup, I’m sure the defense would have played so much better with Orton at QB.

Come up with any more imaginary sports leagues lately?

hey shooter, why don't you ask that question again about who would Sparky have as a QB between TT and Orton. I remember him saying he would rather have the QB that win less games so they can take first pick on the draft. That is by far the lamest post by Sparky and no matter what TT does, Sparky is just gonna be a pure Tebow Hater.LOL!
