And since we are all here, I'll stay right here instead of creating another thread. The Knicks should win. End of story. So I'll take the points but I really don't see myself needing them.

    The pick:

    Knicks +5.5 over Bucks

So you ask: What was encouraging from the previous game that would make me want to back the Knicks here?

    1. Knicks got jobbed

The NBA just admitted today that Giannis committed a "5 second back to the basket below the FT line" violation.

Knicks come into this one losing a game, with a psychological edge knowing, if the refs knew a very basic call, they would be heading toward a 2 game winning streak.

    2. Knicks on a 6 game losing streak

Famous angle: Bad team. Desperate team trying to snap a losing streak against a decent one. Knicks haven't won since Dec 22nd which probably seems like an eternity. Getting points/jumping on a losing streak at what you beleive is the right time. It's just a good spot to be in as a capper.

    3. Knicks get Porzingis back

If getting your second best player (and what will soon be your best as Melo starts to fade) doesn't jump start this team, nothing will. It'll be on a minutes limit but if the Knicks need him late he'll be out there.

It screams that Hornacek just wants out of this losing streak that he'd bring Kristaps back sooner than later. Doing anything to win from the top of the coaching staff to the botttom of the bench. That's what you want.

    4. Knicks outrebounded/Out-assisted/out-3 point shot the bucks last game.

It's been quite awhile since the Knicks did that.

And here's an additional stat which shows you how well they played:
They went to the FT line 12 times to the Bucks 31 times and still almost won (and the NBA admitted they really did win.). And worse they only shot 58% from the line. Clean that up and get to the line and you win. And for the Knicks to outshoot the Bucks from 3? That should give the Bucks pause tonight.

    5. Get Giannis in foul trouble. GET ANYONE in foul trouble.

If the Knicks can improve on one thing it is to attack this kid and everyone else. Take him off the floor with a quick two by going at him. End of story. It's very simple. If a poster on Covers can see it, Hornacek can see it.

    6. Our wildcard

Mindaugus Kuzminskus - 14 pts/4 Reb last game. 9pts can Orlando. This guy can hit the outside shot and attack the basket. Reminds me of Scal a bit. A nice little piece off the bench teams haven't figured out and whatever he can give is more than welcome when getting points.

In addition, I just checked a primary Milwaukee online news site and these were the predicted results from their staff:

    Bucks by 27!!!
    Bucks by 14
    Bucks by 7
    Bucks by 3
    Knicks by 3

They JUST SAW what the Bucks have. Knicks are the ones continually making adjustments to get a win of any kind. You have to win here. End of story.

The above predictions mean nothing on the court but as cappers on the other side we love seeing this. I've given all I can give on this one. Good luck. That is the line on 5Dimes right now.

Cold snap - the check is in the mail.

Dude, is Melo your BFF? What's with you and the friggin' Knicks? You're losing it, I think the trolls & pressure is getting to you.....

Nice angle on the game and substantive contribution to the thread.

This is what the trolls are good for folks: Harassment only. We permanently got rid of one (on HIS own terms and have two locked up/and they should throw away the key). We'll take out the rest in due time. With wins. That's the best way.

    Annnnnnd he's still here.

What in the world would be a sufficient break for you? 4 days? 14 days? or a Biblical break of 40 days?

There would be no break of sufficiency.

I see an angle and I play it. It presented itself when the league admitted they jobbed the Knicks. And home/road doesn't matter on losing streaks. And I get points. And on and on and on. Any win matters. I can play this game and take 10 days off. I can take 10 days off and play this game.

What the hell do you care? You can play it. You can fade it. You can choose to ignore it. Well then again, according to ColdSnap's brilliant investigative work, you care, a hell of a lot more than most.

You are an interesting character. I think you are breaking new ground here. You're essentially a troll in your very own thread. It's really quite fascinating. But, not in a good way. Kind of in the "holy

Good luck with your Knicks play. I'm from New York and I am a disgraced Knicks fan myself. I wouldn't put money on them if my life depended on it.

    That's the problem.

You think this is a substantive disagreement with a pick:

Dude, is Melo your BFF? What's with you and the friggin' Knicks? You're losing it, I think the trolls & pressure is getting to you.....

If you had a substantive counter-argument like Papa had in the Rousey thread, I'd address it.

And that is why you are a troll but will continue to deny it to your dying day.

I'm a troll even though I've posted picks and write-ups for a decade.

Ok, up is down and down is up because well...you say so.

And while you sit on the sidelines taking no risks with your team, I will.

No risk = No reward. A tree, a rock, a toilet, an avocado pit can avoid taking the exact same risk.

Live a little. Cap a game. Contribute to a forum. Ya know. This is what people are looking for here. I have an angle. Do you? Your angle is "Avoid the Knicks at all costs!" That's the angle. Alright. Then bet against them tonight. And if you aren't laying the points tonight, then that should tell you all you need to know about the legitimacy of the Knicks side by default.

Here's your angle - Knicks are on a 6-in-a-row losing streak, just like you. Plus, the Bucks just beat them outright at home not 2 days ago. Oh, and one final angle:

    THE KNICKS SUCK!!!

    There, there's your intel......

You have a write up with several points, pretty straightforward, that goes miles beyond your remedial comment.

And YOU , yes you are the reason why people here complain "What happened to Covers?" And they know what happened. The average age of the poster went from about 30 to around 21 over the last ten years. And your post reeks of that very immaturity. Because today's 21 year old is yesterday's 17 year old so it's really even YOUNGER than 21.

So here's what the trolls do:

    1) In addition to falsifying losing streak, give them a very straightforward easily understood write up, they respond "Thanks for the intel" in a mocking manner of course.
    2) If you provide an unconventional angle, they respond "That's ridiculous! What the hell are you talking about! The bet won but it had nothing to do with your nonsense!"

So they think they screw you both ways. And Hugh Jorgan and Jdr and Dimsum and Manila Playa and Snowman back in the day and FadeORide and on and on and on have done this for years. And now YOU are part of that elite group of scu mbags. Congrats!

Well cad, I probably won't have a write up on it but to ask an elite defense like this, not to win, just to keep it close at 4.5? There is no way I'm laying that number. I laid the 3.5 in the Super Bowl in 2012 against the Pats when the Giants were on a very similar roll and I never was in a good position to win that bet. It was agonizing. I'm not betting against this team when it is on a roll. And it is on a hell of a roll right now. So are the Packers but I'm far more inclined to back an elite D with a nice chunk points than lay them with a superior O.

Thinking the revenge angle on NY +5.5 in 2nd of B2B,  it might be a good spot to take NY +2.5 1st Half.

    BOL with Knicks!!!

Well if the Knicks do not come back to get within the spread I may not post the NBA the rest of the year. The lack of defense on this team is incredible and among the worst on any Knicks team ever especially on a 6 game losing streak.

Almost 70 points in a half after the Knicks are getting ripped to shreds by the media and coach for weeks. They JUST played this team. What haven't they showed you last game??

Phil Jackson has assembled a complete disgrace of the highest order.

These fu**ers better come back. It has to be a 4-6 point game entering the fourth or they have no fu**ing chance. Someone in the locker get some balls and rip this fu**ing team or they are dead.

    96 points through 3.

Anthony Mason is rolling over in his grave 1000 times over.

This team just may shoot me dead.

If the Knicks don't play some D and they haven't all game, this amount of points which is the same deficit the Bucks saw last night and overcame, will not be overcome. Can they stop them for ONE QUARTER.

A miracle if it happens. This stupid fu**s.
