i have a perverse thrill in taking on this massive massive total every year......
taking the OVER
daring them to play a slow game where i risk losing by 30 or 40 pts......

every year the books keep putting up a number between 235 - 245

every year people think.."that's too high..."

Every year,...they run n'gun all game long......with a projected score in the 300's...and it gradually keeps dropping to the 280's by the 2nd and 3rd Q's..then finally by the 4th Q it drops to the 270's and 260's even.....

then...with 3 mins to go...the game surpasses the over total ...

depending on how close it is...we may  see another 30 pts or 10 pts in that last 3  mins....

244 is a big scary number,..and of course ,..2 or 3 scoreless minutes hurts.....but that hurts ANY game where you're on the over....

the bookies obviously expect a fast paced game...with plenty of early shots,.....with minimal defence...

Don't fool yourself into thinking either side is going into this game with the intention of playing good "D".

both sides love the thought of an open , free flowing game where the opposition thinks they can outscore you....

that's the motto of this matchup...
"whatever you can score......we can score more"

just break down the game into smaller chunks ..and you'll see 244 isn't that unreasonable..

(...maybe a 5th possession in a minute  if both sides think it's only a 12 sec shot clock...)

they shoot close to 50%......that 5 pts per min there...= 240 total

now..FT's.....let's hope for 67% ..........say 15  FT'S each.....both sides get 10 of them.....that's another 20 pts...= 260 total.....

depending on how hot the shooting is.....it may sail over....it may not.....but i think there's plenty of room for error here....


i think at least 1 side will hit 35 pts in a Q consistently....don't know which side...........they may alternate...

so long as the other side matches that 35 with 30 of their own...

i think 60 pt Q's are very realistic.........

i'm pretty sure 70 pt quarters are also a very real possibility..

suns  won with a push in what seemed to be a lack luster game...el los suns.....b2b and maybe they can get rollin...nash had 2 early fouls and never seemed to get fired up...

I got it at 244 but it is now at 246 at Pinnacle and other places... even 246.5 at BetJamaica and Diamond. Lowest I can find is 245.5 and that's at the shitty sites... so it looks like we're in good position fellas. Time to watch the show.

it was the 70+ point 4th quarter against the hornets that pushed that one over.

Definitely taking the under this game. They are trying to make it seem like the OVER is the play and there will be a nonstop scoring spree and it will not happen like that. Phoenix has been doing a lot better on the defensive side of the ball and they have also slowed down on scoring themselves. I know it was only last nights game, but a total of what? 180? when the hell do you ever see Phoenix hold an opponent to 87 pts? never?...how often do you see them score 93? never....They have been making unders left and right since the all star break....so after last nights game, your gonna try and tell me that there gonna score 64 more points the day after. I dont see it happening..I dont think so...I say pound the under harder than a fat vagina....
