Angels/Orioles Under 9.5 -120
Both of these teams got worse at the deadline, specifically their offenses. And both are struggling mightily at the moment. The O's have been shutout their last two games, making it shut out in 3 of their last 6. The Halos don't bring much better news. They've only scored more than 4 runs one (1) time in their last 10 games. Now, neither pitcher is very good, but I do like that Grayson Rodriguez spent a couple years pitching in this park, so he should not only be comfortable, but wanting to stick it to his former club. Povich threw 3.2 IP giving up zero runs when he faced the Angels a year ago.
Cardinals/Yankees Over 8.5 -105
I'll probably be on a lot of Cardinal overs from here on out. They are just going to throw a bunch of shit at the wall, and see if anything sticks for the rest of the year I think. Dobbins was great in his last start, but it was against the Angels, so did we really learn anything from it? Weathers has been hit or miss all year, and in this joke of a ballpark (as we saw last night) pop flys turn into homeruns here. The Cards bullpen is atrocious as always.
Boston Red Sox -1.5 +146
The White Sox have won just 3 of the last 10 games that Davis Martin has started. On the flip side, Sandoval has started 4 games this year for the Red Sox, and they have won all of them. The Red Sox are still hotter than hades, and the pitching staff has been elite, so I have no qualms backing them on the RL here.
Chicago Cubs +176
Fuck the Dodgers. Cubs rake against lefties, and they are 5-0 in Assads last 5 starts. They are 14-4 on the year when he starts. Skubal has been touchable this year, and this line up is firing on all cylinders. The Dodgers line up is not. A little break out yesterday, but for the most part, been kept under wraps. Ill take the home team at this number all day long.
Houston Astros -1.5 +146
Back to the well. The offense had an off night last night and only scored once. I don't think that will happen again. The Jays only managed 3 runs, and thats cause their offense sucks ass. Yesavage is fine, and Wesneski is nothing to write home about, but the line ups are separated by a wide margin in my book.
Arizona Diamondbacks -114
First off, I don't know why they gave the Cardinals two of the their top 10 prospects for Lars Nootbarr, but I'm glad they did. He and Arenado are good buddies, so maybe he can flourish in the desert. Tonight though, I'm backing Eddie Rodriguez. He's been great for the most part, so no reason to not back him against a very under performing Padre line up.
Detroit Tigers +110
Why the hell is Melton a dog??? He's 6-1 with a 1.75 ERA. I get it, Hancock has been good, but the Mariners bats can't keep up with the Tigers if the pitchers are a wash. I'll bite on this bait.
