Singer isn't any good, and Lord hasn't started a game in over a month, so the pen should get quite a bit of action today. That's terrible news for the Nats cause their pen sucks. Good news is, so does the Reds pen. Everyone is in the line up for the Reds, and the Nats are missing Wood still, but oddly enough, they started hitting again once he got hurt. Gonna be a warm one in DC, ball should be flying.
Braves/Yankees Over 8.5 -110
Slight breeze straight to center all day long will certainly help, not that this stadium needs any help with getting balls out. Schlittler gave up 4 ER in just 3 IP in his last start in this stadium vs STL, and his start before that here, he gave up 3 ER in just 4.1 IP to the Dodgers. It's just not a friendly place to pitch, for anyone. If these two can get to 9 with Sale and Cole starting, they can certainly do it with Holmes/Schlittler going.
Blue Jays/Phillies Under 8.5 -114
The Blue Jays are the worst hitting team in the league vs LHP, and Luzardo is a pretty good LHP. They may not score today. They have so many outs up and down their line up, and even with Vlad, he isn't doing anything frightening this year. The Phillies line up is capable of getting to this number by themselves, but I doubt it today vs Bieber. He hasn't been the Bieber of Cleveland days, but he's been very reliable. Both pens suck though, so we will need both starters to be efficient early, but I think we have two that can do that.

Lorenzen in really bad. Like REALLY bad. McGreevy is starting to wear down I think in his first full season of big boy ball. It's a hot breezy day in St. Louis and that breeze is blowing out to center.
Orioles/Rangers Over 8.5 +100
I'm playing the law of averages with the O's. Povich can't be as good as he was against the Angels again, and the offense can't score only 1 run is 4 straight games. Rocker for the Rangers has been giving up the longball as of late too, so a good guy to break out against.
Detroit Tigers -1.5 +140
I'll ride the Troy Melton train until she derails. The guy is the best going in the AL right now. He has a sub 1.00 ERA over his last 5 starts. Giants couldn't hit water if they fell out of a boat.
