Skubal (LAD) at Wrigley (CHC)

Is the wind blowing out today? Last night, the Cubs hit 4 home runs, the Dodgers 2.

Skubal is the attraction tonight, but isn't known for pitching long outings.

Total is currently at 9 with the Dodgers large favorites vs Assad, who typically does battle for the Cubs.

Thoughts on the total and the game!

I got Cubs and under.

Big public money swooped in on LAD thinking they can't lose twice. 

I expect it to be a pitchers duel..

Are they going to get that many HRs tonight too?

Wind shouldn't be a factor...light wind blowing out to left.

Skubal's length shouldn't matter either, bullpen advantage goes to the Dodgers...

And this wouldnt be their second loss in a row...it would be their 5th!

Public money is not on the Dodgers today, not with the awful way they’re playing and certainly not at this very high price.

 I meant against the Cubs.

I don't like to get in the way of hot or cold streaks thinking the gotta win as a strategy.

 I have Covers consensus on the Cubs at 53%. What is a 53% implied..without looking it up..I know it's Huge gap vs the -204 LAD ml.

Public money has inflated the win probability too high for the Dodgers.

 What are you talking about? You are using the Covers "consensus" which is essentially a 50/50 split as evidence that the public is on the Cubs? You knw there are sites that actually lrack where public money is...legitimately. And its not on teh Cubs...

The Covers community is a different story. Generally consider this site more informed and generally sharp leaning - at least the regulars...

To me it seemed pretty split in the forum, although a large number of Covers Forum brethren are on the Cubs, so maybe that's what youre referring to...

There are only two sides in a game lol...if the public is NOT on the Dodgers as you wrote, by default you are saying it is on the Dodgers...lol
