SJP's "Do The Philli" MLB Analysis & Picks (May 30th, 2011)

Sizzling hot, like my flu temperature, in NBA/MLB since the Conference Playoffs started in NBA.

8-1 (+$2400ish) in MLB this past weekend. I was like Michael Jordan during "The Flu Game" VS the Utah Jazz. :)

I usually posted my picks in a thread with my first pick as Topic Heading (IE: Boston Red Sox VS Detroit Tigers), but I received PM's saying that it was confusing because I listed picks in these threads throughout the day, and not just for the mentioned Topic Heading game.

And, lastly. . . .

Okay, all random tidbits covered, I'm going to go through game by game and post my thoughts as I see fit. If you have questions about a particular reasoning, feel free to ask.

San Diego Padres/Atlanta Braves

The Under 7 play almost looks too obvious. The Padres are the worst lineup in the Majors, and the Braves have been struggling at the dish, too. Throw in the injuries on the Braves side, and Chipper Jones resting---it's hard to make a case for the Over unless something extraordinary happens.

Side: No lean/play. Too much juice on the Braves side, and in a low scoring game, San Diego may be able to pull it out. Betting for the Padres is a Buyer Beware type situation though. San Diego is 14-7 this year in day games.

Total: Lean on Under 7 so far.

Philadelphia Phillies/Washington Nationals

The Phillies have destroyed the Nationals all year (Streak: W5) and throw their ace on the mound. The general consensus will jump all over the Phillies, and rightfully so.

Side: Lean Washington Nationals +1.5 (-105). I expect a close game and like the Nationals to lose by 1 or less more than I like the Phillies to win by 2 or more.

Total: Lean on Under 7.

Detroit Tigers/Minnesota Twins

Nothing.

Atlanta Braves/San Diego Padres Under 7 (+105)

$200/$210

Philadelphia Phillies/Washington Nationals Under 7 (+100)
