LA Dodgers -1.5 +125

This is a fade of the atrocity that is the Pirates' lineup.  Ryu does have nasty stuff, just don't ask him to run out groundballs.  Edge to Dodgers' bullpen.

DET Tigers -1.5 +105

Verlander should go deeper in this one than opening day.  This series seems to come down to who can get at the other teams bullpen first.  Edge to tigers bullpen, starter and lineup so I will take the run line.

Well the Yankees are my favourite team to bet against at this moment, Sabathia wasn't enough for Boston, the Yankees lineup is a pity - they aren't 1-4 for nothing. I see all the advantages on Detroit's side again and as long as the books offer these odds, why not take advantage?

Although the previous two games clearly went over the line, I see this one going under. Strasburg and Cueto both pitched impressively in their first game and as we saw the Nationals lineup is also able to score low (or not at all). Both pitchers shouldn't allow to many runs, therefore I am willing to pay the extra juice and settle for the under.

I like Pinny cause there is a little less juice to pay I find....not a lot of prop betting though, it's more team totals, full game and first 5, there are some props but not a lot, but I don't bet prop bets a lot so it suits me fine...

Like the Angels to ride Weaver, Darvish had a big game last outing against the Stros, may have a slight letdown and has a blister.  Like the Reds to bounce back after yesterdays loss behind ace Cueto.  Love the cubs pitcher who is 2-0 lifetime against the Braves.

I fudged up the odds yesterday on the Seattle game. Grabbed +1.5 on a fav and gave the opposite odds (Should have been real chalky, but when copying over from my betting ticket I took a different game's odds on accident). I'm counting it as a no action for the purpose of this thread. I apologize for the mistake.

CHI Cubs ML +125

I like Samardzija in this spot. I like to go against teams going for a sweep without a huge pitching edge and I like the away pitcher more in this one. 

Over 8 BOS Red Sox - TOR Bluejays +100

I think Lester is a bit overrated after a nice spring, didn't impress me in his first start. Neither did Dickey, wondering whether he can adjust to the AL style of play.

NY Yankees ML +176

There are a couple of teams that can hit Verlander and the Yankees have been one of them. Not impressed with the Detroit offense or bullpen and once again Detroit is going for the sweep.

Volquez is shaky and unproven at Coors Field and the Padres have a lot harder time putting up runs than the Rockies do. Advantage home team

Backing Lester and the Boston boys today. I am unsold on Dickey and that knuckler this season. He had a solid season last year but his first start this sason worried me. I think Boston gets the W while Toronto is still trying to get their chemistry down.

Under 5.0 (5 innings) BAL Orioles - MIN Twins -110

These two teams have put up some big numbers in the first two games of the series, and I look for a cool off, at least early.  Hammel pitched well his first start of the season, and he should be able to cruise through 5-6 innings.  Pedro Hernandez is making his second career start meaning no one has seen him before, and he should be able to get through the lineup at least once before the O's figure him out.  The Twins carry a deep bullpen so they probably won't be hesitant to pull him if he gets in trouble. 

Manager Gardenhire usually likes to give some of his regulars the day off on Sundays after a Saturday night game, so I'm not convinced we'll see the regular Twins lineup today either.  I think everyone will get off to a slow start today.

Phenomenal run man keep it up!  But don't forget to provide your record, money amount, and a reasoning with your picks (even if its just a sentence).  I think Mavins point here is not just to accumulate a good W-L record but for everyone to be disciplined and become better cappers. 

This is said with the upmost respect, I just don't think it puts anyone in a comfortable position if the top records are being looked at as an exception to the rules.  We are all trying to gain knowledge through helping each other to become better cappers!

Cueto is as consistent as they come, possible NLCS matchup in the playoffs with Strassburg.. I think the reds come thru today as Cueto gets his first win today @ home. Yea nats might b better, but @ home reds bounce back after a loss yesterday.. and not to mention the stream coming in on the reds side, they were a dog last night.. Hot Dog we say ?? 

Phillies -130
Hamels shows his networth today. The bats in Phillips come out in fashion this afternoon.besides the fact he is my fantasy starter, If they can't count on Cole, then they got a problem in Philly.. A Lenny dykstra type of problem!! Royals were horrible against lefties last year.. I don't see a change in that today..

Giants -126
Cain gets his chance to win his first game in fashion at home. He has a habit of pitching well on Sunday afternoon @ AT&T. Ya he is another one of my fantasy pitchers, but giants also bounce back today to win the rubber match @ home against one of thier rivals. Look for him to plunk Matt Holliday if he hasn't already.. Bring the Cain!!
