I'm adding the late game because this line seems inflated due to Darvish's brilliant first start.  Sure he's good, but LA has the better lineup and I'll be surprised if Darvish can do to LA what he did to Houston.  Weaver is no slouch (1 ER in 6 innings against CIN in his first start), and I expect him to match Darvish every step of the way.  I'm playing this mainly for the value -- the wrong team is favored in my opinion.

Good work. After a day lke we had yesterday there's always a down factor - but you have overcome that with minimal damage overall. That's commendable as long as learning factor is there

Some wacky results today, that's for sure. Looks to be perhaps a closer change incoming in Kansas City. Arizona bats stay hot. Boston bats pounded Dickey and Bush. (There is a sweet headline there somewhere)

Red Sox and Orioles have changed roles this year.  I am not sure if the Orioles can play with the pressure expectations bring.  This is also the home opener for this year's Red Sox team, who can regain fan support with a win here.

 

Yankees won yesterday against Verlander in a Sunday that turned to be crazy for top notch pitchers, but I am still not buying it.  Too many injuries for a team I didn't believe in to begin with.  Also, home opener for the new and improved Cleveland Indians.

 

Doc pitched 3 1/3 innings last outing, but had 9 strikeouts on his way to getting lit up.  I think he was/is a great pitcher, but he still doesn't have it all together yet.  He seems like Tiger the past couple years, where you see signs of greatness hindered by health issues.  All this combined with the Phils bull pen being overworked the past week, equals good value on Mets and Harvey here.

I looked long at the BAL Orioles vs BOS Red Sox.  I couldn't make a pick either way; split.  Boston Home Opener and they 'should' win with a strong looking Buchholz on the mound.  Yet, Boston has struggled at times vs lefties this year (Pettitte, Happ).  Chen hasn't looked efficient at all, but the O's have raised their game the last few series at Fenway.  Should be a good one!  Good luck on the Bosox SimonDog and Musicmatt!

Key batters in the STL lineup have hit Latos well in the past. Latos is 2-4 in starts vs the Cardinals with an ERA of 9.00 and WHIP 1.824. Garcia is 8-2 in career starts against Cinci. ERA 3.06 WHIP 1.315.

The pitching matchup is pretty even when it comes to facing each others ballclubs. The Giants have owned the rockies the past three seasons(27-9) but they don't own Jorge as his teams record is 9-3 in games he's started against them in his career.
