You are an idiot look at it this way baseball is only nationally televised 3 times a week and umpires make 50k a year are you telling me it doesnt happen for an umpire to squeeze the zone on a huge underdog and pocket money? Baseball has no instant replay and any "mistake" can always be explained by fatigue.

I would like to know how any one individual could fix a game. An umpire could favor a team on his strike zone or call someone safe or out to a team he'd prefer to win.
But an umpire can't fix the 3 hits, 2 home runs and 4 RBI's of Hamilton. So Hamilton can show up and strike out all day, but that's not going to stop Beltre from doing the same.
Or maybe Dickey throws a few straight balls to let his opponents fire the balls outta the field. That doesn't stop his team from scoring runs or the manager from pulling him.
My point is, you couldn't truely "fix" the outcome of a game without a conspiracy. Cheaters? Maybe, (PROBABLY!) But fixes... can't see it being possible as often as people claim. Only very few sports could be fixed and done without obvious corruption.
for example if u work for someone and get good pay , u will do whatever he tells u too right ? if u know what i mean dude

Simply put...Every game of every day is fixed. The players and umpires and coaches are nothin' more than actors on a stage playin' their roles.Think abouit it.....Whenever money is involved, who gets their greasy little fingers in everyones pie? The Mafiosa!! MLB stands for Mafia League of Baseball...

I only bring up this conspiracy theory because I hear a lot of people in the MLB threads mention: "The public is all over this team. Or too much money is on the Halos and Jerod Weaver over Cleveland tonight."
I can accept the fact that some games maybe fixed in other sports like boxing, NBA, College Basketball/Football and possibly the NFL.
But MLB too?
It's hard to imagine pitchers making millions of dollars to perform on a daily basis would throw games. If they throw games or suck, they're usually sent back to the minors. Maybe the umpires and the strike zones? Maybe a certain player gets a day off 2 minutes before the first pitch? Routine double play is purposely botched?
To think that MLB is 100% clean is being a bit naive. I mean history indicates that it's happened before (Black Sox & Pete Rose as minor examples)
When capping these games, how much should go into raw stats/weather/matchups alone? Should we really pay attention to where the public/squares money is going?
I guess my question is... Does Vegas have any weight into what happens in baseball games? I'd love to hear what you guys think.
BOL to everyone today!
