The Cardinals were 50-45 at the All-Star break and very much in the hunt for a Wild Card playoff spot. Not so much now, as their record dipped below .500. They've spent the past week trying to get back up to .500 and finally got there last night with a narrow win over the lowly Rockies who went a solid 0-10 with runners in scoring position. You'd think the Cardinals wouldn't want to miss this opportunity to get themselves over .500 with a win tonight over this minor league team.
