I am a big fan of Pie and believe he will become a very serviceable OF.
I honestly would put Pie in CF and move Jones to LF. I wouldn't exactly shop Jones around actively but if a deal was proposed that was too good to pass up that had JOnes being shipped out I would go for it.
Like say the Rangers called up and said they were interested in Jones and maybe someone else for Smoak.... I'd be all over that deal. Just becaue the O's have OF depth and nothing at 1st.

Adam Jones last 15 Games has only had 2 multi hit games
I can raise my batting average to going 1 - 4 with no game relevance scoring only 5 runs in 15 Games... In order to raise your batting average .40 in a month by having a handful of multi hit games you would have to be hitting .220 which Jones was, hes crap

You try to find any small stat to benefit you. What about the stat URISS had? What's your excuse for that?
And why is it all about Yankee fans ignoring things? You make it out to be as if all Yankee fans are ignorant. What about the guy from California who agreed? Or G8RB8 whose a Nationals fan? The guy from Texas? Arizona? Lawson James (not sure if he's a Yankee fan)? Jumbo (DBacks fan)? thiswiseguy (from Michigan)? But only Yankee fans are the one's ignoring? Why...because we continue to fight back?

Once again making comments without knowing hte situation.
You do know he was pitching injured before he went on the DL??
You do know his velocity was down about over 5-6 mph.
He tried pitching through an injury and tried compensating for his minor injury and that caused more stress and more problems that led to his injury that has kept him out all year.
And they didnt just lose him. They lost him, the Koji (their best BP arm), Jim Johnson who was hte back up closer and set up man, and then Simon who was brought up to close and got injured.

You try to find any small stat to benefit you. OBP is the most important and telling stat in the game of baseball. You need to get on base to score runs. The object of baseball is not NOT make an OUT. If you are not making an out then you are doing whats expected. Jones doenst even have a great OBP or OPS. They are subpar but both those numbers are rising and have been rising. The reason for his slow start and subpar numbers is because of him being in the leadoff spot and changing his approach.

Losing him doesn't make up for the rest of the garbage in that bullpen. And regardless...it's not like he's a great reliever when healthy. Simon is probably just as valuable as Gonzalez.

Do you just speak out the side of your mouth about players you ahve no idea about?
I know you watch baseball and know how to interpret stats, but then you make statements like the one above that makes me scratch my head and think "you really have no clue what you are talking about".
Mike Gonzalez for his career.:
2.67 ERA/ 10.6 K per 9/ .215 batting average against/ 1.24 whip
Those are pretty damn good numbers.
Is this unnamed pitcher just as valuable as Simon?

He doesn't respond to relevant statistics, only th eones that benefit his argument.... he makes so many excuses for the Orioles it's so pointless to go back and forth with him... I would be exhausted if I was him trying to figure out what to say next.... The reality of EVERYTHING is one simple thing.... The Orioles suck and so does Adam Jones... But now its ok the Orioles suck, becaus ethey will get the #1 draft pick...hahahaha like that will make a difference, they have been picking towards the top of the draft for years now
