Bennett’s been dealing all series, Boston’s bats have been on fire (put up 13 the other night). Jump’s control has completely fallen apart for the A’s, and Boston’s bullpen is one of the best in the league if it gets late. Bumped up from -1.5 for a better price, but this one needs the offense to stay hot to cash — betting on the trend continuing.
Cardinals -1.5
Rockies are a disaster this year, worst record in the league again. STL’s bullpen is night and day better (3.79 vs 5.70 ERA), and the run line’s actually a better price than laying -155 on the ML. Taking the value play here.
Cubs/Royals Under
Clay Holmes debuting for Chicago and KC’s offense has been ice cold for weeks. Royals also just lost their best bat to injury. Feels like a low-scoring one, especially with a pitcher’s park in play.
Astros ML
Lambert’s quietly been really good — 2 runs or less in 11 of his last 12. King’s walking too many guys this year even if the career numbers look nicer. Smaller stake on this one since Houston’s lineup chases a lot, but I like the pitching side enough to take a shot at plus money.
