8-3 Monday Funday

Ok been a while since I’ve posted my bets but boy have I been hot. 4-1 was my last record I remember posting in here about a month ago. The last 2 days I have gone 9-0 on picks which is mental. So I decided screw it why not get back on the forums and give my opinions for the games today 

James Wood Over 1.5 total bases (Nationals @ Phillies)

Wood, a lefty bat, gets a get-right spot against Aaron Nola, who’s 3-9 with a 5.61 ERA  and has lost six straight starts.  Two bases is a soft bar

Nationals Over 4.5 total runs

Same Nola softness fuels it, and Washington’s run differential (+16) actually tops Philly’s (-4).  Only worry is the Nats just got swept scoring 2-3 a night, so im betting the matchup wakes them up.

Cubs to win (+110, Dodgers @ Cubs)

Classic buy-low on a home dog: LA got swept by Boston and has dropped five of seven,  while Boyd has allowed just two runs over 17 innings since the break.  Pitching edge and price both favor Chicago.

Over 11.5 total runs (Rays @ Rockies)

Pure Coors play, and the tell is Rockies starter Michael Lorenzen and his 6.54 ERA  in the league’s most run-friendly park. High number, but altitude plus a batting-practice arm is the right recipe.
