Important note on the game tonight, according to my capping stats...

On June 1, SALE (Tigers) was riding a tenuous 7 game HOT STREAK and I posted the warning.

He had a BAD outing.

But since he is a very good pitcher he immediately rebounded with a good game, and now has put together 2 successive.

 

Meanwhile, last Saturday, RODON (NYY) was riding a tenuous 7 game HOT STREAK and I posted that warning too.   Sure enough he imploded.

Today is the first game back for RODON since his "BAD outing"  Typically GOOD pitchers rebound immediately with a GOOD outing -- although that doesn't always translate into a win.....it depends on the BATS and the other starter too.  But I do expect him to avoid back-to-back "BAD outings"

Most importantly, perhaps is RODON has pitched well in 10 games and poorly in 5.

an_light But the 5 poor outings were all ON THE ROAD!!!! He's at home tonight where he pitches very well!

 

cool Anyway, just food for thought....We are all grown men and we can make our own call however we wish.

Bryan WOO (Mariners) had his 6 game win streak without a bad outing snapped last game, but this dude is very good and I look for him to rebound with a good game ....although that wouldn't indicate a win UNLESS his offense supports him.
