The God question-part one

how am i a hater?  all i do is ask questions.    sure, i got a little sarcastic there but the sarcasm had a point.  you can figure it out.  besides, if you can't joke around with religion, you might as well just turn in your sense of humor card now, if you ever had one.

anyway, i think my post makes perfect sense.  some of these people talk about their god this, jesus that, the bible says this, yet people only follow the parts they like and ignore the stuff they don't like.  divorce, adultery stoning adulterers, are just a few examples. 

religion is a business like any other.  it's like wal-mart. you go in, you pay your money, you take what you want, you ignore what you don't want.  the people running the business get rich, the customers walk away with what they think they came for. 

and here's where to EXACTLY find the other two........

i didn't think i changed the discussion.  you said there is nothing to lose by believeing in what your god tells you.  i reminded you that there are many religions and many gods who also use the carrot and stick business model who will say you go to hell for not follwing their god or gods.  you say yours is the one true God.  maybe She is, but we can probably find a billion or so other people on the planet who say their god is the one true God.  who's right?

i don't know why the highly intelligent Bin Laden does what he does.  i suspect it's because his god tells him to or he at least gives that impression so he can exert influence over people, as religious figures tend to do.  one thing i know is that when the highly intelligent Bin Laden issues a video saying his god is the one true God and his god says we need to convert to islam and do all that other shit if we want to go to heaven, i can't disprove that.

 you're a funny dude forty..............  I believe you "ask a question have a discussion" statement is the equivalent of waiving a white flag .....................

there is no question within that segment but we can probably come up with one or two. 

if jesus said the only ground for divorce is adultery, why do these so-called christians keep getting divorced (thereby violating a sanctimonious isntitution that is too good for the gays.  it seems like maybe the gays should be the ones keeping the christians from marrying to protect the sanctity of marriage, but that's another issue)? 

and, since the bible considers adultery to be such a serious crime, punishable by death, why do so many so-called christians commit adultery without being put to death?
