The God question-part one
I said because i fear God.i dont murder, steal, rape etc etc.
I dont jump out of planes and i would assume the majority of people dont jump out of planes including atheists.......cause it is mighty scary no?
But i drive fast cars, race cars, like to swim in the ocean (can be dangerous), a number of things that gets my blood pumping but they arent sins.....
But yes i also sin......
I don't do those things because I respect other people. You're saying that if there was no god you would do these things?

Rostos would rape and murder young boys without the fear of god.
I am afraid that god would too....that's the scary thing, because god likely does not have the fear of god.

I've become much wiser in my years and realize any religious thought is simply FOOLISH...I don't give a shit who I piss off, hey it takes a bigger man to say You are fucking WRONG!!! Now I cannot argue w/ fools like Bill O'reilly who say "tides never miss a beat" and the "sun always rises w/out issues"....Maybe it's because I use part of my brain that others don't have (science on left-right brain thinkers) but I agree w/ the Educated folk who know/understand religion is a fucking joke and certain things are actually scientific knowledge, but hell they only provide evidence and I'd rather not believe in that
I guess my point is study the UNIVERSE and understand Iron comes from Star's destruction let alone all other elements and then look at the billions of galaxies w/ billions of stars and tell me 1 "thing" truly created that all...I also ask that anyone who "believes" to ask them what they really believe, Carlin had some great shit on this topic about death and "god" and humans are so self-centered and ignorant to think they should enjoy eternal life.
Maybe because I'm a science kind of guy and UNDERSTAND how big the Universe is and the complexities involved let alone understanding that it won't go on forever that I think any "god" thought is pretty fucking absurd...Maybe I should join Bill O'reilly and others ignorance by saying "we can't explain the tides" or " why the sun appears and disappears on clockwork" HMMMM maybe that's because our species developed on a planet after millions of years where conditions happened to allow for our development and we will 1 day be extinct, we are lucky to have lived on a place that survived destruction and stardust allowed us to become/think as a species, but because we understand our own demise doesn't mean we should have to plan for life after death. It just is, hence why the fucking flower is what it is or the fucking turtle is what it is....Ignorant thought may keep you happy while you live, but it sure as fuck ain't science and to say "a book told me so" won't ever convince me of some religious/god bullshit
Any God/Religious thought and concept is truly a power grab and for anyone to say otherwise is truly delusional!!! Study your history and you will see the Sun God USE to be the God, but then that changed in African lands where Christianity and Muslims fought for power...Hmmm simple minded power-struggles, well that sounds a lot more reasonable than science and evolution. By the way, God spoke to me last night in my dream's and Told me I'm correct thinking he is the "invisible man in the sky"....
I don't think the "believers" really want to know the truth because if they did they wouldn't sound so fucking foolish!!!
1 of my biggest dream's in life is that people wake up to REALITY and Live for Today, John Lennon spoke to this in IMAGINE and yet people still think they can argue against it...Dude, truly I become that much stronger against "god" when I hear dumbfucks try to explain god...Keep telling yourself lies, and maybe you will live happily ever after
Gee... I'm not converting to your side. You win Mister.

I didnt know we have one of the world leading astrophysicists on covers..............Ask any of the most repspected Atheists in terms of scientific qualification and they will tell you
"SOMETHING CANNOT COME NOTHING in this physical universe".........
The universe has an age...15 billion years.......This has been mathematically proven.....
if something has a birthdate, then it means it never existed before that birthdate...........Correct?
So what created the universe? It couldnt have been anything physical cause that means something needed to be physically in place to create it, but the universe has a birthdate........?
So who was it then?
based on your beliefs, maybe we can sit down have a drink together in your lounge and we might just hear a loud bang and i will say nothing caused that, it just happened...........![]()
Oh, 90% of the workd BELIEVE in a higher spiritual being, oh i suppose 90% of the world is wrong?

It was always there? r u nuts? Something created it.........Everything that you see has to have been created in the first place......"oh its always been there".......are u that dumb?
Something created it, it couldnt have been anything physical cause something cant come from nothing........If its not physical then what can it be?
What u r saying is this......
If there was a car race of 8 cars and the race was only for one lap......the car that wins lapped and passed the other cars......But the race was for obe lap so its physically impossible to do so.......Just like something physically creating the universe........
get your head out of it, snap out of it......something cant come from nothing........

For the sake of argument, try to use the side that there is God. Use your imagination if that's what it takes! Let's look at Genesis
The First Day
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light.God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness.
The Second Day
The separation of the waters
The Third Day
The first appearance of dry ground
The Fourth Day
With the sky now clear, the sun, moon and stars were dependably visibl
The Fifth Day
Great numbers of birds and sea creatures
The Sixth Day
Vast numbers of land animals. Man. From the man, woman
The Seventh Day
The Sabbath Day.
Science has proven that the earth is in the billions of years in terms of age. I agree. However, Man started recording time when he/she was first capable. Now, the way the Bible reads is once the universe was created, everything was done the next day. However, like the story of Noah living some 900+ years, time was reckoned in a total different manner then. Isn't it feasible that the Bible reckoned time in a way people can understand? Is it all possible that by the time God created this vast world we live in, and the time we started recording ourselves, this amount of time could've elapsed? Sure it is.
People did think the world was flat much as they thought God flooded the entire planet and Noah saved the world. However, people only told the lore of the day and how it affected their lives in their given areas. But, as time marches on and we become a more advanced and continuous learning society, we're refuting beliefs from as little as a few years ago. Hell, in 1995, my sister and I were in a cafe in London and I asked her if this "internet thing" was really going to be as big as the experts predicted.
In summation, I believe God did create the universe we live in and explore. I also believe in order for us to live the way we do today, the Earth had to evolve and that took time... God's time - something we as humans have a difficult time comprehending. I believe God created Man and Woman when the timing for us to breathe the air, drink the water, and mature was proper. I also believe that God, or whatever it is you choose to call this infinite intelligence, has everything in harmony for us to survive.
Argue as you will about these points and call me names all you want, but nobody is going to change my mind about it. As I said 700 posts ago, there's too much evidence a larger power exists.

See at least you made a valid point tim...Rostos is still going on about nonsense and this is why I call him a moron. He keeps insisting that something had to be created, but this is 100% a false FACT and I will explain why. There had to always be SOMETHING. I don't know necessarily what that something was, but something had to always be here. You cannot dispute that because, well, we're all here. You can keep asking "well what caused that" "what caused that" and go back and back until you get to the first molecule ever, infinite regress. It has to stop somewhere. Rostos is too dumb to know this argument, but what he is trying to say is that God stops the regress. I'm saying that the universe itself is what stops the regress. The universe was always here. Believing in God and believing in religion are two different. Organized religion is a joke and history (as well as current practices) show this to be true. However, I can accept arguments solely for a supreme being creating everything (although, obviously, I do not believe them) as long as they make sense. There is significantly more evidence pointing to no God than to a God, but that doesn't mean there's no chance God exists. As we've seen in the past, the more likely outcome isn't always the actual outcome. If I asked you Tim, what created God, you would answer with "God was always there." And that would 100% prove my point that SOMETHING had to always be there. You think it's God, I respect that. I think it was the universe or whatever started the universe...but to say everything had to be created by something is complete lunacy because of the problem of infinite regress.
You are the biggest joke on covers............
It is universally accepted and is Sciences numbers 1 rule that SOMETHING CANNOT BE CREATED FROM NOTHING....
Not only do scientists believe and understand this but speak to any normal person and they can tell u that something cannot from nothing.....
How can the universe just exist.........Something has to have created it full stop.....r u really that dumb that something can just exist on its own out of nothing. R u seriously that dumb......?
In this physical universe something cannot come from nothing....
Its in front of u, we are living in it......
When u go and buy furniture, did it just exist out of nothing? No?
Did u see the manufacturers physically build the furniture u sit in? No.
EVERYTHING , absolutely everything is created by something......SOMETHING CANNOT COME FROM NOTHING, get that through your head....
At some point , the universe came into existence and nothing Physical could have caused that.........u join the dots.......
WOW, the brightest minds in the world accept that something cannot be created from nothing, but a covers forum member says they are wrong.....
I am officially done with u, no point arguing with someone who cant grasp something my 10 year old niece along with the rest of the world can grasp

Regardless of what Rostos pens, you're not the biggest joke here. Neither is he. It happens we're in an argument where there's embedded viewpoints which will never be changed. According to your profile, you're 21-25 years old, and I can assure you by the time you get closer to my age, your experiences will assuage your opinion of this subject. It's moot to continually banter this. I respect what you feel, but for now we'll be on separate sides of this question.
Therefore, I'll agree to disagree with you, shake hands, and look forward to our next debate.

Not surprisingly, your comment shows a stunning lack of insight in regard to astrophysics, and for that matter, fundamental physics in general. If the universe has a creator, what created the creator?

If u had bothered to read my other posts when this question was posed to me then u wouldnt have asked this question....
I can only say this......
In the physical universe that we physically live in....something cant come from nothing....
When someone asks me who created God, when we refer to God we refer to the Spiritual world.....we dont know the properties of the spiritual world. We only know the properties of the physical world, so in the physical sense something cant come from nothing......

I wonder what the "believer's" think about the assumed destruction of this planet when the Sun burns out of Hydrogen, or even when the Universe burns out of Hydrogen??? I'm also curious to know where the Iron comes from in our bodies (ok maybe god created everything so star's would explode and pass on certain elements) and from that life would certainly occur. We have scientific knowledge on some things, but those of us who think its a joke are willing to say I don't Know, it hasn't been discovered yet, but hey the Earth was assumed flat at 1 time, and the Sun use to be at the center of the Universe at 1 time.....Because you were taught/read something and don't understand other things isn't an argument for GOD....
I think Religion is the equivalent to Orwell's 1984
