Hang on a second...........That Matt guy said u are wasting your time by praying, going to church, donations......My question is, Josh Hamilton readily admits that his life was down a path of destruction until he allowed God in his life through Church, prayer etc etc............So why doesnt this Matt guy ask Josh Hamilton if the time he spends praying , going to church was a waste of time....There are millions of millions of millions of people around the world just like Josh Hamilton........No they havent become MLB players but there lives have changed for the better by allowing God in there lives...........

I most certainly did not read all the way through this thread, but did come across one entry that claimed 90% of humans beleive in god. I understand that by god this poster meant any number of single all powerful figures, but this claim is indeed absurd. I have no idea where it came from.

Alot of people in prison find God once they are in prison.......if someone TRUELY FEARED WRATH of GOD, would they murder still? No one can answer that....

Dude, you could replace "God" with anything though. Josh used God to turn his life around. Mike Tyson credits Allah for giving him peace. Good for him. He could have found that yoga brought him peace though. Does that mean we should all sit on the floor in fucked up positions? My point is, Josh's mindstate changed. It just so happens that he used religion to change it. Doesn't make it TRUE!
The reality is, if u truely truely fear the consequences of doing a particular something, u generally dont do it......

If u are murdering someone and while u are doing it u say i will simply ask for forgiveness and it will be all good and u continue to do it, i dont know if u will be forgiven, maybe, maybe not, God determines that......
But if u do something and u dont know what u are doing (eg, the people who nailed Jesus on the cross) i believe u will be forgiven, especially if u ask for forgiveness...
