And the very best super brilliant idea God could come up with to forgive us for eating a fruit he wanted us to eat is to send himself down to earth pretending to be a human? Then purposely get people upset with him so they kill him.

Christians are doing a very good job of keeping people away from Christianity.

There is no reason to watch a video that will not allow comments.  If they aren't willing to have video challenged, then you already know it's wrong.

Why don't you ever apply this logic to God?  God is too, is purely theoretical.

I'm not giving any excuses for our "wicked" ways. But when you set someone up for failure then blame them for failing......something isn't right there. Ignoring the fact again, that it never happened.

If you gave your keys to your car for the first time to your son and he gets caught drink driving.

Later he says my friends said it would be ok.

    Whose fault is it.

    Your sons or his friends?

I dont know u obviously, but i cant stand people like you who dont like to take accountability and responsibility for there actions.

There are temptations in this world, yes, they are only there as a test by God only for you to demonstrate your love for him.

Some people here are finding it really difficult to comprehend the idea of free will and evil.

    God is NOT testable.

I can say there are kangaroos playing baseball in mars. I can say i saw bigfoot, i can say i saw Santa, i can say i saw the tooth fairy. At the end of the day, all these claims are testable.

If God isn't testable then the notion of one can be dismissed. There is no reason to debate the topic at all, or threaten people with eternal punishment with an untestable idea. How can you even begin to try to convince someone of something that you can't even test?  It'd be like trying to sell invisible cars and claiming that you can't test drive them until after you paid for them.

You are right you don't know me. I take full responsiblity for my actions. This has nothing to do with taking responsibility for my actions. I'm not the one who accepts someone elses death as a cop out for my "sins"

This is about a story which the outcome was predetermined. If it was an unknown outcome then your God can't exist as it is all knowing. It can't not know about anything.

Maybe the story itself is about accepting responsibly for our actions, i won't argue that. To say that this story is literally true is insane and proves that the outcome was predetermined just like Jesus knew before he was born his job was to die on a cross.

If you can't test it, there's no point in even considering it. You can't test the existence of the tooth fairy, Santa, or the celestial teapot located between Earth and Mars.

If any event is predetermined by God and alot of them were. If taken literally, there is no true free will and your untestable idea fades back into thin air from which it came.

Yes, if there isn't any way at all the test an idea as being true then there is no reason at all to accept it.

According to Rostos, we have to accept a untestable idea and if we don't then we are doomed for eternity.  Even though this untestable idea gave us intelligence and the ability to reason and determine facts from fiction. It ultimately  wants us to forgo all that and just believe  in something with no evidence for no reason other than the consequences of not believing in it.

Pretty good gig for the clergy huh?

How does resisting temptations demonstrate your love for godSince you like analogies so much,
If you have a child, and he eats some candy that you told him not to, does that mean he doesn't love you

I have two kids, I've never told them not to eat their Halloween candy to prove that they love me. The idea of doing even that is sicking to me. Let alone purposely putting temptations in front of them.

Do temptations exist? Yes, the reason they do isn't to have our love for an invisible untestable idea tested.

And then if they eat the candy, you do the most horrible thing to them possible! Like I said earlier, the god of the bible is an ass... I can't believe in this day and age, people still follow this crap!

It intrigues me so much. I don't understand it at all maybe because i have not been filled with the holy spirit. But to get the holy spirit i have to believe something that can't be shown to even exist.

Another thing, if you can't test for  God how can you show that it created anything? You can't deny the big bang, evolution or anything because you can't show that it did didn't use those processes which if a God exist defiantly used.

    Great analogy.

Mom and Dad ask their kids "Do you love us?"
    Kids say "Yes."
Mom and Dad place their kids' favorite candy on the table in front of kids and say "If you love us, you will not eat this candy."
    Kids eat candy.
Parents banish kids for all eternity.
    Seems reasonable to me.

MRGETRICH, recently, there has been alot of controversy about creationism, intelligent design theories versus evolution. Bc after 150 years of Darwinism, evolutionists do not have a fool proof theory. They can not satisfactorily explain either the fossil data, especially the fossil gaps, or why, and how life appears to be so intelligently designed. This is what creates room for controversy. Honest, unprejudiced scientific appraisal of these theories and data is that niether Darwinism nor its later synthesis is with genetics and population biology called neo-darwinism agrees with all the experimental data. Creationists, for all the noise we make, when you look closely, alot of the evidence is based on the negatives of your argument. Sure, we make interesting points about the holes in the Darwinism evolution theory. Though, if the people in the day of Jesus could not identify Him, and crucifed His innocent life. Then it is inevitable, the people of today, with advanced knowledge will declare Him dead. So, the best method for a believer to prove the existence of God is not within the realms of science, but through their faith in God, with their actions. As Christians, if our faith in God was as grand as we claim, we would have a better control of our downfalls. In the end, I can't prove God to you, He will do that. If science is the ultimate proof, why send a single missionary to Africa. As Christians, we should never go to war in the name of God, or do anything that is embarrassing to God's cause. You state; "Christians are doing a very good job of keeping people away from Christianity" and Gandhi declared, "I'd be a Christian if it were not for the Christians!" For the reality is, if science was the way to enlightenment, it would still only require a negative life experience to denounce God. Because; "where was God" leads to "there is no God" more times than not. Convincing yourself in the begining there was God, is no different to convincing yourself there is no God. Honest appraisal when searching for the higher power, ends in faith and the Holy spirit which is the ultimate witness for God.

But thats the thing, people want to apply the same standard of testing and proof that they apply in everyday life to God. That is why when non believers want proof, there argument is flawed.

if in the bible it is written that God will appear in your local malls on Sundays at 3pm or God will not allow murders or God will align the stars in the sky to form a cross and these things DO NOT happen, then yes, you could challenge the bible and say it is false.

If Gods realm is in the supernatural (as stated in the bible) and his presence will be seen in death, then how on earth can anyone say he doesnt exist?

Furthermore, this is the ONLY world that we KNOW, this is the ONLY life that we know.

Is there an instruction manual that says,
"if God was to exist, then we should observe x, y and z?"

You trying to apply an instruction manual that is given to a jury to determine the proof for a theft of a murder to that of God?

You trying to apply an instruction manual to determine if a being that created the universe exists?

If he wants this "world model" to be the way it is now in terms of evidence, who are you or anyone to say it should be different?

Furthermore, this is the ONLY world that we KNOW, this is the ONLY life that we know.

Is there an instruction manual that says,
"if God was to exist, then we should observe x, y and z?"

You trying to apply an instruction manual that is given to a jury to determine the proof for a theft of a murder to that of God?

You trying to apply an instruction manual to determine if a being that created the universe exists?

If he wants this "world model" to be the way it is now in terms of evidence, who are you or anyone to say it should be different?

Your claim is 100% made up nonsense. Your claim that there is a God is made up, your claim about it's supernatural realm is made up. It's a shame you can't, by your own admission show any different. Who can't make claims about an untestable deity that is hiding out somewhere?

But, if I say there is a invisible little man living on my shoulder, is it testable?

My claim is that my little invisible friend on my shoulder is supernatural...He also can only be seen after death
