Can Someone Answer This Question

Im watching a show on the Sciene Channel about planets in our solar system, and these planets have strong gravitational pull. How in the fuck are these colossal planets floating in mid-air? Why dont they fall into the abyss or whatever is below.  This just baffles me. Anyone know why, how, or what.

Because there is no gravity in space

im aware there is no gravity, i guess my question is how can there be no gravity. Something non visible holds these planets in place, almost by design. Im probably opening a religious can of worms here so i will just leave it at that.

I'm not an astrologist, but I think the leading theory is something called Dark Matter.

From what I know, the idea is that the universe is constantly expanding, the theory is that something they call "cold" dark matter basically binds the galaxies and keeps the universe from flying apart

by orbiting the sun they essecntially are "falling"...

Suns/stars pull the planets together in an orbit, is that what your saying?

All i know is i watch those types of shows all the time. It's mind boggling,or at least for me it is.

If i remember correctly i saw one where they explain that static like your hear on am radio is somehow connected to the big bang.

When i think of space, and the galaxies upon galaxies that exist is just mind-boggling. apparently our solar system compared tot he galaxy is like a single grain of sand in all the beaches of the earth.  Wow..

Our earth is a grain of salt in the grand scheme of things.  There are millions of other planets we cannot travel to because they are lightyears away.  This in fact, leads me to highly believe there is other life other than us out there in the universe. 

Now let me ask you a question.  If there are millions of other planets, and many of them have intelligent life on them, wouldnt you also say that many of them are a lot and i mean a LOT smarter than us?

This just lead me to believe we are a VERY weak planet.  Weak is not good. 

Im not trying to get into religous details bu God doesnt like weak people.  Hence why many think its the end of times.  God just may be fed up........just a thought

and its not that theres no gravity in space, its that its very very small, look up universal gravitation

there are 600 billion stars in the universe, so there are probably trillions of planets.  yes, statistically speaking there is probably intelligent life on another planet somewhere.

fwiw, if god spent 1 second creating each star thats almost 7000 days, nevermind the time to create planets and moons

basically the star has gravitational pull on the planets and the planets has gravitational pull on the moons.  go to a bigger picture some galaxies has gravitational pull on other galaxies i agree it baffles my mind just thinking about how BIG  the universe is how INSIGNIFICANT we are. but yet humans tend to believe we are indestructable? which is just absurb. just image walking on the beach and that is the amount of stars  in the universe.  imagine times 6 of planets and times 30 of moons? how is there NOT life elsewhere in the universe? i think i just answered that question.  there is probably life on the moon of saturn we just cannot land on titan yet and see.  it is just infathomable to think life does not exist and you must be a COMPLETE moron to not think that

Ummm... yes there is. There is gravitational forces everywhere throughout the universe.

It's more than that, D_Unit. That actually underestimates the size of our universe. There are billions upon billions of other galaxies, all which contain multiple solar systems, each which contain a number of planets. It's absolutely intellectually staggering to legitimately sit and think about it.

I believe there is a much much bigger picture and life is more important than we know it. 

There are just wayyyy to many unanswered questions.  We are a very weak planet with no sense of direction.  We dont know where were trying to go.  Problems today are just as bad if not worse than problems 100 or 1000 years ago.  We arent growing as a planet.

If you do believe in a higher power(which I believe you almost have to), than the only place you can really turn too is the bible for proof.  That being said, if you believe in the bible than you believe humans were put here to execute a message from God. 

Now, let me ask you something?....As a planet, do we seem to be executing any sort of message?...The answer is NO
