Brandon Deaderick is out for the game, but it should have liitle effect on the defense or the game.
Unfortunately, I will not be in Atlanta this weekend. I was actually able to get a ticket, but I gave it to my nephew who is a student at Bama. He really wanted to go badly because, like me, he's from Virginia, and many of the people he went to high school with go to VT. He almost went to VT himself.
Lump up the books this year Koko!!!
Yeah I know he is not playing, I was meaning him being there wanting to play is going to fire the boys up in a inspirational way....I was lucky enough to get some lower lever 50 yardline tickets to this one so I am estatic...If it is anything like last year in ATL, it is going to be a blast, even more if what we think is going to happen happens!!!
Best of luck this year Freak!!!!

On another note Freak, as you said in your 1st post you have some inside connections, as I do to an extent. Are you hearing anything about J.Harris getting suspended for this game for the Laptop deal? I am hearing he is suspended for this game, not for actually receiving the taptop, but for lying about it to begin with?

I don't know any details, but some (and I emphasis "some") in the know seem to think that this story has some legs. As far as I know, he is not suspended at this time. It certainly is a situation that bears watching!!!

i love bama also , but i just wished the injury to the running wouldnt have increased this line. va tech would have gotten killed either way
I am also a little shocked by the line. Although I think 7 is about right for this game, I was expecting something in the 3-4 range. Obviously the injury to the RBs affected the line, even though who they hand the ball to is inconsequential. None of them are going anywhere.

That is one of the best things I have read on here and I couldn't agree more. There is too much thinking on this game. Alabama is in a different class and like you said, that will show up at some point. I think that defense makes a big statement in this game. Great, great write-up Jimmy. You talked me into going with my gut.
Yeah right....Bama's in a different class for sure....That's the class the Utes sent them to in January......
Looks like we have the HOMER call of the week here.....

That is correct JW. Bama is in an entirely different class with respect to talent. I would suggest you fasten your seatbelt, put your seat in the upright position, tune in the game, pay close attention, and keep a barf bag within arms reach (if you actually wagered hard-earned on VT). If you pay real close attention, you might even learn something from the experience.
And I absolutely agree with you, this is the "Homer Pick of the Week," and it'll cover by at least 2 TDs.

Harris also had contact with Athens resident Curtis Anderson -- who provided a fishing trip and other impermissible benefits to Jones and Ingram, resulting in them being ruled ineligible until the NCAA rendered a decision on the matter -- and may have received an extra benefit, according to a source familiar with the case.
