Thanks big guy for the info on our Bama game,,,,I wonder where all the bullshit artists are now???? Defense is probaly the nastiest I have seen in a while.,,,,,Bama gives up maybe 7 to 3 points without special teams mistakes..Ingram showed what kinda man he is and we just keep reloading with all the 5* that some jerk on here said we didnt have...lololol I will shut up now and retire to the bed up 8 units on the bama play and 2 out of 2 at 2 unit plays check me on that all nonbacker bama haters....Rammer Jammer Yellow Hamner Give-um Hell Alabama.....Hey Hookies.we just beat the hell out you...
You don't really expect the meatballs to come back into this thread do you? I said in the beginning of my write up that it was not my intention to convert people into Bama fans. The purpose of the writeup was to provide solid information on the game that people wouldn't read in their college preview magazines, and to get them on the winning side of this play. Mission accomplished!!! As I said, those with ears will hear.
I repeatedly said that Bama was absolutely loaded on the offensive side of the ball. Few believed me. If nothing else, I think that talent was quite evident tonight.
Ingram was amazing . . . but then, I expected him to be amazing!!!
I'm glad to hear you cleaned up today. Not many did!!!

Yes, superior talent. I bet on V Tech's D line. Good job by them...but not enough. Awesome game and I'd like to see one like that every damn weekend.
Home cookin' for Bammy coming up. Time to heal up, get some "practice" games in before conf play. Don't know how to judge the interest of the team in these games...I'll probably lay off until the Hogs come callin'.
Tech played an outstanding game. No one who watched the game can deny that. They were in the game in the 4th quarter when they really had no business being there. Shear grit, determination and excellent coaching got them there. Their effort should be commended!!!
Yeah, those non-conference, "pseudo pre-season" games are difficult to call sometimes. I would expect Bama to have a bit of a let down next week against the Mean Green after this emotional game. I wouldn't be surprised to see Mean Grren cover.

"I wouldn't be surprised to see Mean Grren cover."
ditto...very intereted to see the line...probably won't pull the trigger unless it's really stupid. If you're at the game or if it's televised in Bammy land, keep an eye on AB Riley Dodge...dude is a winner and in my opinion will change the "loser" environment at UNT.

Thanks KSU!!! I wasn't very impressed with the multitude of mistakes Bama made tonight. That was very un-Saban-like. Had they played a cleaner game, VT would have been knocked out early. In the end, however, as I predicted, superior talent and depth was just too much for the Hokies!!!
Bama
Yes you were right on with the depth part. They were just wearing them down and toward the end I thought it was getting pretty dominating on both sides of the ball. The yardage difference was over 300 yards. The thing I'd be concerned about is the past protection. But the line will gel I'm sure. Bama definately has a #1 look about them as even as good as they were last night they will improve. Scarey

I loved the game, loved the intensity that the defense played with, they were money, except for the mental breakdowns a couple of times. I was pretty impressed with Mcelroy after he settled in, and quit trying to force it into Julio, good arm though. Loved the way Ingram ran the ball, Upchurch was a damn beast, and you can tell Richardson is going to be the real deal on his two carries. I will go on record now though and say I hope to never see the "wildcat" formation again. Bama was without a doubt the superior team, with the superior athletes, and superior coaching staff. This game should have the doubters that was saying Bama is overrated, changing thier opinion.
I hope you done well with your picks, because I was off so bad, I couldnt have stuck my finger up my ass using both hands.

Great writeup Jimmy, I was on Bama yesterday for an average bet and felt pretty confident about it. But it wasn't until now (sunday afternoon) that i read your writeup and I gotta say if I had read this yesterday I probably wouldve made it a large play. This GMAC kid seems like the real deal and between him and that nasty rushing attack on display yesterday led by Ingram, this team looks poised to make a great run at a very memorable season. Thanks for the info and great writeup and i'll definately be back each week to check out your picks and feelings about upcoming Bama games!
