 Sorry made a slight miscalculatrion, Illinois is a 1.5 unit pick not a 3 unit pick.  Southern Cal has much stringer SKS given they are the road team.

This also gives me the opportunity to better explain what I mean by SKS.  It is a fun little term taken from Lee Corso "somebody knows something" that he would use when a lower ranked team was a favorite over a higher ranked team, but I apply it, like the other indicators, mathematically.  If a lower ranked or unranked team is a favorite or within the traditional 3 point homefield margin - see Alabama Georgia - then it intuitively does not make sense in regards to the public's view of the game.  Thus the oddsmakers know something that should cut against common sense.   For every "key number" (e.g. 3 point spread) it is favored or cuts into the home field, the stronger the SKS indicator is

Midafternoon update for the 3:30/4:15 games.  not a lot of change from the morning except out west where there is a pop due to a rush of bets and money on the Huskies (not a good thing if you are a U-Dub fan).  

Cal (1 unit): sharp indicators outweigh bye week return

Indiana (3 units): Line movement, low ticket favorite

Ole Miss (6.5 units): SKS, low ticket and handle favorite, sharp indicators

Auburn (1 unit): sharp indicators outweigh bye week return and low handle favorite

Oh and as I always say SHOP for your lines.  My jurisdiction has multiple sportsbooks with choices.  Did that and choose the best available.  Otherwise you are not maximizing your opportunity.  UVa yesterday is an example.  You really wanted -7 (though it did not matter anyone watching OT probably was thinking they wish they had that and not -6.5).

BTW, I REALLY want to pull the trigger on UCLA-Northwestern.  The handle is just not there so this is not an official call and will not go down as such (so buyer BEWARE) but the indicators are really strong on UCLA if you want to go forward on that game.  Yo can still get 6.5 at MGM and a few other places as the line starts to shrink before gametime

Here are the early evening games (Colorado - BYU will qualify and I will report closer to game time).  Penn State still a strong play but some of the shape indicators pulled back slightly

 Solid overall week where 3 of the 4 big plays came home (sorry for you Penn State bettors).  I say this from time to time but remember, the goal is the long play.  The indicators are hot but there WILL be losing weeks and you never know when that will occur.  This upcoming week seems a lot heavier than normal as 13 games have already hit the requisite handle so hopefully it is not this week.

 Friday afternoon and this week is shaping up to be crazy as the unit levels are heightened.  The Texas A&M game has more sharp indicators than I may have ever seen (it is also why I think Vegas is frantically raising the spread in an effort to play catchup).  

PSA:  I will update probably later tonight and hopefully early tomorrow morning but I am OUT until the 3:30 games at the earliest (and those will be tight) and these numbers seem very volatile as evidenced by the excessive sharp analysis so feel free to hold back at the noon games if you feel uncomfortable as I already can tell that late numbers will greatly affect it.  I will report what the final numbers show so it could cause some disjointed feelings if they cut against the Friday and early Saturday reports.  I apologize in advance, especially with an appetizing Cincinnati call over Iowa State at noon (as a note, if the line jumps the fence back to Iowa State pull out immediately as all indicators will dramatically change)
