Van, did you hear about New Mexico's running back? Does this change anything for your pick?

ALBUQUERQUE - UNM star running back Rodney Ferguson has been declare ineligible for Saturday's New Mexico Bowl Game.

UNM like all institutions has to use NCAA guidelines to certify players before bowl games.

Ferguson and running back Mike Love are both out.  That means UNM will not only miss their star but, have depth issues for the New Mexico Bowl.

Ferguson and Mike Love did not get the job done in the classroom and was not certified for the game.

That does not necessarily mean both are out for the spring.  All players will have to go through the certification process once again for spring football.

Ferguson rushed for nearly 12 hundred yards this season and scored 13 touchdowns.  He averages a little over 98 yards per game.  The Lobos will have to do without all of that when they face Nevada in the New Mexico Bowl Saturday.

Yeah - thanks for the heads up about the NM running back - news just came out today.
 
Im going to officially downgrade NM to 1 unit.
 
I did get some very favorable line moves today thanks to Dr Bob and others - BYU now looking great and Utah a little better too.

NM team is pissed they are stuck at home again. They lost last year in this same bowl at home. Nevada has played great it's last 2 bowl games. Combine the starting RB out and the expected unmotivated NM players, gotta take Nevada.

Fla Atl is the better team that has played the tougher schedule. Both teams have solid QB's and can put up a ton of points. It's a toss up game IMO but loving the over. Would lean Fla Atl if I had to choose but this trend scares me:

Atlantic is 0-7 ATS in non-conference games away from home over the last two seasons.

**Memphis is 10-2 ATS in road games when playing against a team with a winning record over the last seven years.

GL Van.  I am on the other side of the Navy game, and with NM losing their backs, I am strong on Nevada now.  And the FAU/MEM game is really close stat wise and I am just going to stay away from this one.  Best of luck!

agreed on utah's potential to stop the triple option, their great run of bowl victories shows the program has been preparing properly for post-season games.  i have no issues with utah's motivation, in spite of the fact this may play more as a navy home game.  haven't seen any utah travel numbers yet, but navy should get a boost from the home port.

Im really sick about this Utah game.  Fucking coaching and playcalling are terrible.  7 pass attempts on NAVY in the 1st half????????
