2012 Kempom System

i am not an expert in this system, but we dont consider teams from Summit conference

need help from excel experts. need a simple tool to automate this system. i know we can do this manually everyday, but sometimes the book is very big and we can make mistakes.

the tool should do this

on sheet1, i will copy paste the kenpom data from 166th rank onwards

on sheet2, the macro should filter (based on conferences) and show only valid teams

on sheet3, i will copy paste the teams odds from my book. lets assume any structure convinient to you.

on sheet4, the macro should show the picks for the day !!! using sheet2 and above +6.5.  ofcourse these picks may not be regularly lined. but atleast the tool will do 90% of the work

this tool can be based on excel or html

With almost all casinos and online books using the same "added games" sheet supplied by line making services, the Summit League is now included in system plays (while the American East, Atlantic Sun, Big South, Great West, Independents, Mid-Eastern Athletic, Northeast, Patriot, Southland, and Southwestern Athletic are still excluded). 

Don't like Pac-10 at all, but would probably prefer to back Arizona St, but like the points in both but would probably not play either

pretty sure sdst would be too high on the magic kenpom list

I'll probably be on all three games I mentioned that I was looking at, one of them might be a fairly large play, if that happens I'll post a write-up on why I like it

No - for a million reasons, if its not 6.5 it isn't a system play (although you are still welcome to bet on or against it) but then compounding that problem by playing horrible juice is not advisable in the least . . .

Kine, just curious, did your experience as a baller, both player and coach, make you look into these smaller conference games with a much more critical eye?  

I have read both Post 1 and Post 2, they both list a home team as part of the parameters, Troy is on the road tonite, am I ,missing something ?

I subscribe to the "theory of opposites" in life.  If you see "most" people doing something, do the opposite and you will most likely find success.  "Most" people eat fast food, sweets, and other crap, so I don't.  "Most" people don't exercise, so I exercise.  "Most" people complain about their job and do the very least amount of work possible, so I don't complain and do the very best that I can.  "Most" people float through life with no goals or aspirations, so I set goals and try to be better both personally and professionally, the list goes on and on. 

"Most" people lose at gambling (many lose a ton and almost everyone loses over the long run).  What do we know that "most" gamblers do?  "Most" gamblers bet on favorites, "most" gamblers bet on games they can watch on tv, "most" gamblers bet right before the game starts and gets the worse line, "most" gamblers bet more when they are losing, "most" gamblers chase bad beats and losses, etc. etc. etc.  I try to do the opposite of these things as much as I can.  Vegas knows these characteristics of gamblers as well and makes you pay a premium to bet on ranked teams and televised games.  Those lines are WAY MORE "tight" and there are tons of information available about those players, games etc.

I can write another 10K words about this but need to dive into the games a bit more, but that should give you a bit of insight into my mindset, I'll try to revisit in sometime in the next week or two. 

The system is you PLAY AGAINST the home team that has a poor kenpom ranking when they are favored by more than 6.5

South Florida is a play?  I can't find it in my book or on cover (am I blind).  Who do they play against? 

should be South Alabama +6 1/2

Why is furman not a play against ? My book does open lines later than most, so perhaps it moved to 6.5? Mostly came in to say thanks for the work Kine, love what you're doing here.
