The Calgary Stampeders head to Vancouver on Saturday to face the BC Lions in Week 10 of CFL action. The Stamps are coming off their biggest win of the year while the Leos are fresh off an ugly loss, but CFL odds expect the home side to bounce back.
The Leos opened as 5-point favorites before growing to -6.5 for this West Division showdown, so should we continue to fade Calgary? Here are my best free Stampeders vs. Lions picks and predictions for August 12.

Stampeders vs Lions picks and predictions
BC is coming off a dismal 50-14 loss on the road to the Bombers while Calgary is feeling good following a 20-7 victory against the Grey Cup favorite Argos. However, if you look at the entire season for both teams, the Lions have been far better, so don't let recency bias cloud your bet here.
These teams faced off in Calgary way back in Week 1, with the Lions winning 25-15. The final score could have easily been more lopsided than that, with the Leos boasting a massive 421-250 edge in net offense.
Calgary quarterback Jake Maier has struggled with consistency and decision-making, throwing a league-high 11 interceptions and averaging just 7.5 yards per pass attempt.
Meanwhile, BC quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. leads the league in completion percentage (71.3%). "Big Play VA" is also third in pass efficiency rating (98.1), despite an outlier performance against the Argos earlier in the year when he threw six interceptions.
Adams has been sidelined with a knee injury since the opening drive of Week 7, and the Lions' offense should be ready to roll now that he's back under center.
On the other side of the ball, BC's defense had been the best in the CFL until last weekend's debacle against the Bombers. Add in a Stamps special teams coverage unit that has been awful, and the Leos should bounce back with a win and cover here.
My best bet: Lions -6.5 (-110 at FanDuel)
Stampeders vs Lions same-game parlay
BC's top wideout Dominique Rhymes has been ruled out with a knee injury, but books continue to be slow on pricing that into player props with Rhymes receiving yards set at 55.5. When they finally remove that number from the board, we'll likely see a bump in Hatcher's receiving total, so his current O/U at 67.5 has plenty of value.
Keep in mind that Hatcher is averaging 78.6 yards per game and last week was the first time this season he finished with fewer than 68 yards. While the Lions wideout was limited to 60 receiving yards against the Bombers, he was still targeted a season-high 11 times in that contest.
