The 2024 WNBA season continues past the Olympic break on Sunday afternoon with a matchup between the Seattle Storm and Indiana Fever in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Storm entered the Olympic break winning eight of their last 10 games but lost their first game after the break to the Atlanta Dream on Friday. The Fever have bounced back from a 1-8 start and now find themselves 12-15 and won their first game after the break on Friday against the Phoenix Mercury.

My analysis
These two teams have met three times already this season with the Seattle Storm taking all three matchups to date.
Both teams are at full strength and the stars on both sides really showed out in their first game back from Olympic break on Friday night. However, it was not enough for the Storm as they fell on the road and allowed 83 points.
Now the Storm are facing an Indiana Fever team that just scored 98 points on Friday and has averaged 86.5 points per game over their last 13 games. The Fever averaged 82.7 points per game in their three matchups with Seattle this season.
The Fever average 85.1 points per game at home this season and there is a very good chance they surpass that number again today. With that said, they are still underdogs and if the game is close, I expect it to be very high-scoring.

My analysis
Caitlin Clark is on her vengeance tour after being left off the USA Olympic roster. She helped lead Team WNBA to a win over Team USA in the WNBA All-Star game with 10 assists and then in her first game post-break, she casually throws up 29 points with 10 assists.
Clark scored 20+ points in each of the first two matchups with the Storm, which were higher-scoring games than the third. I expect this contest to mimic more of the first two matchups where the Fever easily surpassed 80 points.
Clark went through her growing pains early in her rookie season but has come into her own as of late. She has scored 20 or more in four of her last five and I expect that trend to continue today against the Storm at home.
