The Golden State Valkyries will look to continue their march to the playoffs as they host the Chicago Sky on Wednesday night.
Golden State's style tends to lead to tight games, and that's part of why I'm taking Chicago to cover in my Sky vs. Valkyries predictions.

Sky vs Valkyries best bet: Sky +8.5 (-115)
The Golden State Valkyries are winning entirely on the strength of their defense. They have one of the worst offenses in the league, averaging just 83.3 ppg while shooting a WNBA-low 42.5% from the field.
The Chicago Sky aren't winning a ton of games, but they are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 contests. The Sky hold opponents to a 29.5% three-point rate, and when they aren't chasing them off the line, they hold them to 31.9% shooting from beyond the arc.
This will be a low-scoring affair, and I like Chicago to cover at +7.5 or more.
COVERS INTEL: The Valkyries average 78.3 possessions per 40 minutes, the lowest number in the WNBA. Combined with their league-low 48.5% shooting from inside the arc, it's hard for Golden State to score consistently enough to blow out opponents.
Sky vs Valkyries same-game parlay
I've already talked about Golden State's slow pace of play and its lack of scoring. But the Valkyries are also elite on defense, holding opponents to a league-low 77.1 ppg. Against a Sky team that ranks 11th in offensive rating, this game should turn into a slog, and I love the Under in that environment.
That has me staying away from scoring or shooting props in my SGP. Instead, I'm taking Kamilla Cardoso to grab Over 8.5 rebounds. The Chicago center is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game this season and has collected 9+ rebounds in four of her last five games. She'll have plenty of chances to pad her numbers on the glass tonight.
