Tonight's pivotal Game 5 of the WNBA Finals will see both the Atlanta Dream and Golden State Valkyries looking to take a 3-2 edge, and that means stars on both sides will be asked to put in big performances.

I'm targeting Angel Reese, Veronica Burton, and Jordin Canada in my Dream vs. Valkyries player props.

Let's dig into those bets and see my free WNBA picks and Dream vs. Valkyries prediction for Monday, Oct. 26.

Veronica Burton 10+ points

Veronica Burton was a key contributor for the Golden State Valkyries in the regular season, averaging 12.2 ppg. That version of Burton's game has shown up again in the WNBA Finals, where she's gone for 11+ points in two of her last three games.

Burton saw heavy usage in Game 4, taking 17 shots in 38 minutes on the court. Those numbers might be an outlier, but they show that head coach Natalie Nakase is more than willing to give her young guard time to shine in this series.

I'm backing Burton to get 10+ points again tonight at up to 57%.

Angel Reese 12+ rebounds

It'll take a lot for me not to believe in Angel Reese to get more than her fair share of rebounds in this series. Sure, she only got to nine boards in Game 4, but that was the first time she's been held below 12 in this series, where she's still averaging 12.3 rebounds per game.

The Valkyries are far from a rebounding juggernaut, ranking ninth in total rebounds and seventh in rebounding rate (50.4%) this season. Reese has led the league in rebounds for each of her three years in the WNBA, and is the all-time career leader in rebounds per game (12.6) and rebounding rate (23.3%).

I love Reese to hit this rebounding prop at up to 60% tonight.

Jordin Canada 7+ assists

When the Atlanta Dream offense is at its best, it's because Jordin Canada is effectively moving the ball around the court. Canada averaged 7.3 assists per game during the regular season, and has dished out at least seven assists in five of her last six postseason games, including both of Atlanta's wins in this series.

Assists are at a premium in a low-scoring series, but when the Dream are scoring, it's largely because Canada is controlling the action, which is why her numbers have held up even against Golden State. I'm trading on Canada to get 7+ assists in Game 5 at up to 60%.

His betting strategy focuses more on finding line value based on deviations from the market rather than traditional handicapping, primarily shopping between DraftKings, FanDuel, and Fanatics in his home state of Connecticut, though he’s not afraid to do deep game analysis to find profitable bets at any book.

Outside of gambling, Ed is an avid curler who competes in mixed doubles on the World Curling Tour and runs a popular curling YouTube channel, Chess on Ice. That experience has come in handy during the Olympics, when he has proven to be a successful curling bettor as well.

Ed's advice to new bettors is to always open multiple sportsbook accounts and check the odds at each before placing any bet. Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
