Mystics vs Sparks Predictions, Picks, Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

Both the Washington Mystics and Los Angeles Sparks enter this game winless on the season but out of the five combined games, three have come against legitimate contenders for the WNBA Title.

My analysis
The Washington Mystics were projected to be one of the worst teams in the WNBA this season and rightfully so. This is a team that entered the season without Elena Delle Donne and more questions than answers on both ends of the court. 

What we've seen over the first three games has held but there are positives to take away from an 0-3 start. For starters, close losses to the New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun are nothing to be ashamed of. Those are two legitimate contenders and the Mystics held their own. 

Another major positive has been the play of Karlie Samuelson. The 10-year vet is logging plenty of minutes and she's rewarding her coach for the confidence. Tonight, I'm expecting a big game from her against her former team, the Los Angeles Sparks. 

Samuelson is playing 30 minutes a night and averaging double-digit points. She's put up at least five 3-point attempts in each of the first three games, hitting 47% (8-for-17). She's a career 40% shooter from deep and the Sparks have struggled to contain the perimeter. 

L.A. is allowing teams to shoot north of 40% from beyond the arc and with a high-scoring game expected, Samuelson's hot shooting should thrive tonight.
