After losing their seven-game win streak to the Aces, Washington represents strong bounce-back value to grab the points and cover tonight in Sin City.

Their seven-game win streak may be history, but the Washington Mystics can exact swift revenge on the team that halted their momentum.

After falling 86-76 on Tuesday, Washington runs it back in Sin City tonight as a 6.5-point underdog against the Aces.

My Mystics vs. Aces predictions and WNBA picks have Washington cleaning up their play in the rematch to keep this one close on Thursday, Aug. 13.

Mystics vs Aces prediction

Mystics vs Aces best bet: Mystics +5.5 (-105)

A lack of execution against the defending champs shouldn't deter you from taking the underdog Washington Mystics in this rematch.

They're still second in both defensive rating and points allowed in the WNBA and held up for the most part against the Las Vegas Aces.

I expect their offense, which averaged 90.4 points during their win streak, to find its footing against a Vegas defense that's just middle of the pack in scoring D.

The Aces are far from a sure bet here, as they are just 10-12-0 against the spread following a win.

I’d back the Mystics at +4.5 or better.

Covers COVERS INTEL: Washington is one of the best bounce-back teams in the WNBA, going 8-4-0 straight up following a loss, which ranks fifth, with a 7-5-0 mark against the spread (third).

Mystics vs Aces same-game parlay

Not even Vegas’ Top-5 shooting defense could slow down Shakira Austin, who went for 20 points in the loss Tuesday. The books reacted by dropping her scoring line by a point to 16.5 in the rematch. Austin has scored 17 or more points in seven straight games.

WNBA leading scorer A’ja Wilson is also Top 3 in rebounding, so we’re targeting the Over for the 9.5 rebounding line in this SGP. Her 13-rebound effort Tuesday gives her five double-digit rebound games in her last seven.

Mystics vs Aces SGP

  • Mystics +6.5
  • Shakira Austin Over 16.5 points
  • A'ja Wilson Over 9.5 rebounds

Jackie Young Over 6.5 assists (+120)

Jackie Young dished out eight assists against Washington last game, and she’s been racking up big dimes of late, with at least eight assists in four of her last six games. She’s gone Over this 6.5 line in both meetings with the Mystics this year.
