Rodolfo Bellato enters Australia on the back of four straight wins, and we expect the Brazilian light heavyweight's power to overwhelm his opponent.

The main card of UFC 312 features a light heavyweight bout between unranked contenders Jimmy Crute and Rodolfo Bellato.

Current UFC odds have Bellato listed as a moderate betting favorite at -160 via BET99, while Crute returns at +130. Here are my free UFC 312: Crute vs. Bellato predictions for Saturday’s event at Qudos Bank Arena in Australia.

Crute vs Bellato prediction and best bet

Fight analysis
Jimmy Crute’s future in the UFC looks murky ahead of this fight against Rodolfo Bellato. Crute has not won a fight in nearly five years, going 0-3-1 over that stretch.

The first of those losses came against Anthony Smith. While the fight was called after the conclusion of the first round due to Crute’s leg injury, he was down 10-9 to Smith on all three of the judges’ scorecards.

Crute went on to face Jamahal Hill in the winter of 2021. Hill knocked out Crute within the first minute of the fight.

With two straight losses, Crute went on to face Alonzo Menifield twice, the first of which ended in a majority draw. With that said, Menifield was on pace to win that fight before a fence grab in Round 3 resulted in a point deduction and cost him the win.

A rematch was scheduled, and Menifield erased all doubts with a second-round finish. Crute may not have much time left in the UFC following this four-fight skid, and Bellato poses a tough challenge.

Best bet analysis
Bellato carries serious power, which is why three of his past four wins have come by KO/TKO. That is an immediate concern for Crute, who has been knocked out in less than a minute.

Crute has declined over time, and while his official record against Menifield is 0-1-1, he effectively lost both fights. Crute's reckless style may be entertaining, but it leaves him vulnerable — something Bellato can exploit.

Oddsmakers agree, which is why this fight is priced at -260 to end inside the distance and why Bellato’s KO/TKO odds are shorter than his submission or decision props. If you’re backing the favorite, his KO/TKO prop at +175 offers better value than taking him on the moneyline.
