The Super Bowl odds have been simmering for two weeks, with action on the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots heating up ahead of tonight's game at Levi's Stadium. NBC has live coverage at 6:30 p.m. ET.

There are thousands of ways to wager on the Big Game, but my Super Bowl predictions keep it simple, singling out why the Seahawks will party with Lombardi when the confetti pops in Santa Clara.

Here are my best Super Bowl LX picks for Sunday, February 8.

Seahawks vs Patriots prediction

Seahawks vs Patriots best bet: Seahawks moneyline (-235)

The Seattle Seahawks’ path to victory is cleaner: Seattle is the best two-way team the New England Patriots have faced and doesn’t need anything extraordinary to win.

The same can’t be said for the Patriots.

Adding nuance to this pick, the Seattle ML shows caution for the 4.5-point spread. This sits on the high side of the undervalued key number of four and 4.5-point favorites often win but don't cover (42.5% since 2016, 2-9 ATS in 2025).

This moneyline price may not be for everyone, though — so here's a bonus bet and a couple of SGPs to sweeten your Sunday.

Seahawks vs Patriots bonus bet — Shaheed this warning

Seahawks vs Patriots bonus bet: Rashid Shaheed Over 20.5 receiving yards (-115)

I’ve had this bet teed up since Rashid Shaheed was traded to the Seahawks in November. At the time, I scoured Seattle’s upcoming opponents and noticed that they all ran high rates of zone coverage.

Seahawks fans were excited about adding a dangerous deep threat, but my expectations were tempered, knowing Shaheed does his best work against man coverage — and that prediction was accurate, with him producing inconsistent results.

Eleven games later, Shaheed finally faces a man-centric scheme: New England runs man at a Top-10 rate, and he'll have plenty of 1-on-1 opportunities, especially with WR1 Jaxon Smith-Njigba drawing extra attention.

Shaheed’s projections all sit north of this total, with a ceiling closer to 30 yards. The last time he faced a defense that ran man as much as the Pats, he torched the Giants for 114 yards and a touchdown (as a member of the Saints) in Week 5.

Seahawks vs Patriots same-game parlay

The Seahawks' defense is the X-factor in this one. Seattle can generate pressure with just the front four, forcing Drake Maye to throw into a versatile pass defense anchored in zone.

Shaheed’s output has been up and down, but this pairing with the Patriots’ man coverage allows him to do what he does best: Exploit one-on-one situations. His projections sit as high as 30 yards, but I believe his ceiling is much taller.

Guess who also likes playing against man coverage? Sam Darnold is among the best passers vs. man and has shown he’s Super Bowl-ready (and healthy) with 25 completions in the NFC Championship.

Seahawks vs Patriots SGP

  • Seahawks moneyline
  • Rashid Shaheed Over 20.5 receiving yards
  • Sam Darnold Over 19.5 completions

Our big-ticket SGP: Sam I Am (Him)

The Patriots will sell out to stop the Seahawks’ rushing attack, and that puts the game on Darnold’s shoulders. He'll shut down his doubters with a big day in Super Bowl 60.

Seahawks vs Patriots SGP

  • Seahawks moneyline
  • Sam Darnold Over 1.5 passing touchdowns
  • Sam Darnold Over 19.5 completions
  • Sam Darnold Over 228.5 passing yards
  • Rashid Shaheed anytime touchdown

Seahawks vs Patriots game predictions

Seahawks vs Patriots moneyline prediction

My first bet for Super Bowl LX was Seattle moneyline when odds hit the board two weeks ago. The Seahawks feel like the right side, considering the Patriots have never taken on a foe that can score and shut down scoring like Seattle. New England’s path to glory needs high-variance occurrences, like turnovers or scores from the defense/special teams. If the Seahawks keep it simple, they win Super Bowl LX.

Prediction: Seattle 24, New England 23

Seahawks vs Patriots spread prediction

This point spread is the perfect place for bookmakers. They’ve taken action at Seattle -4.5 and some spots that went as high as New England +5.5 drew buyback on the underdog. Operators can move this spread up or down to balance their books without a real threat of this game landing on five. As mentioned, 4.5-point spreads are a “Bermuda Triangle” of NFL lines where favorites win but don’t cover. A Seattle win by four or less would be the perfect result for the sportsbooks.

Seahawks vs Patriots Over/Under prediction

This total opened as high as 46.5 points and we’ve seen it drop as low as 45 O/U with some early respected opinions on the Under. As of this writing, the market consensus is 45.5. But this is Super Bowl, so there will be no shortage of Over action in the final 72 hours before kickoff. While not historically a key Over/Under number, 46 has taken on more prominence in recent years due to the surge in scoring. Over bettors will want to take a number short of that stop while Under bettors may want to wait and see if this total ticks up closer to kickoff.

Seahawks vs Patriots odds

  • Spread: Seahawks -4.5 (-115) | Patriots +4.5 (-105)
  • Moneyline: Seahawks -238 | Patriots +195
  • Over/Under: Over 45.5 (-105) | Under 45.5 (-115)

Seahawks vs Patriots weather

Conditions around Levi’s Stadium look mild for February with temperatures expected to settle in the low-to-mid 50s °F after sunset and no rain indicated in the forecast. That points to a cool but comfortable game environment rather than a weather-driven one.

This kind of weather usually favors execution and speed over survival football: quarterbacks should have a cleaner throwing environment than in wind or rain, kickers won’t be dealing with major gust-related chaos, and play-calling can stay balanced.

The bigger variable may be footing quality rather than the sky itself as Levi’s has natural grass and was fully resodded for the game, which should help consistency, but any evening moisture/dew can still make cuts and pass-rush angles a bit slick. That subtly benefits disciplined route runners and teams with stronger trench balance.
