The big game is finally here, with the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots hitting Levi’s Field on Sunday, February 8.
Read along as I’ve got a quartet of longshot NFL picks and Super Bowl predictions to amp up the action for Championship Sunday.
Best Super Bowl LX Longshot Bets
Sam Darnold 330+ passing yards (+760 at DraftKings)
Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold has cleared this total twice this season, including in the NFC Championship against the Los Angeles Rams.
It’s also no secret that the New England Patriots have faced a cupcake run of opposing quarterbacks, with their schedule checking in as the easiest in the NFL by DVOA. Additionally, the Pats finished 25th in pass defense DVOA and 32nd in the metric against No. 1 wide receivers.
Of course, Darnold has also aired it out for a rock-solid 8.9 yards per attempt while pacing postseason quarterbacks in both EPA+CPOE composite and completion percentage.
AJ Barner first touchdown scorer (+1100 at DraftKings)
Seattle Seahawks tight end AJ Barner caught six touchdowns and rushed one in during the regular season, so he has multiple paths to finding pay dirt against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 60.
The Seattle TE has also been moonlighting in quarterback-sneak and short-yardage situations, so he’s a threat near the goal line on the ground and through the air.
Barner also garnered a healthy 13 red-zone targets and was also targeted on 20.9% of his routes during the regular season, with his 66.7% contested catch rate and 5.1 yards after the catch per reception both high-end marks among tight ends.

Each Team to Score TD & FG Each Half (+1400 at DraftKings)
This total is set at 45.5, and I think the Over hits, which makes this prop found in the Specials menu a viable longshot.
The Seattle Seahawks have scored a combined 72 points across their two postseason games after finishing the regular season third in points per game (28.4), and I’m anticipating improvement on offense from the New England Patriots after playing in unfavorable weather conditions in each of their past two games.
Of course, New England finished second in points per game (28.8) during the regular season, too.
Additionally, in particular, Pats quarterback Drake Maye is set to have a better showing. He paced quarterbacks in EPA+CPOE composite while ranking second in air yards during the regular season, after all.
Color of Gatorade Poured on the Winning Head Coach: Water/Clear (+1100 at DraftKings)
Let’s round out the longshot bets with a novelty prop. With water always on the sideline, backing a clear liquid to be poured over the winning head coach fits perfectly into flier territory.
After all, it’s the only “color” that’s essentially guaranteed to be on both sidelines.
