Las Vegas Raiders vs New York Giants Box Score on Nov 07, 2021

Without Saquon Barkley, the New York Giants leaned on running back Devontae Booker and a stingy defense to grind out a 23-16 victory against the visiting Las Vegas Raiders at East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday.

Barkley did not play due to a lingering ankle injury. Starting in his place, Booker finished with a career-high 99 rushing yards on 21 carries as the Giants (3-6) finished with 149 rushing yards as a team.

Giants quarterback Daniel Jones was 15 of 20 for 110 passing yards with a touchdown pass and no interceptions, while also recording 18 rushing yards.

Raiders quarterback Derek Carr was 30 of 46 for 296 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions by New York cornerback Xavier McKinney, including one returned for a score.

Darren Waller had seven catches for 92 yards for the Raiders (5-3), while Kenyon Drake had six catches for 70 yards.

Josh Jacobs led Las Vegas with 76 rushing yards. The Raiders had several opportunities to put more points on the board but finished 1 of 6 in the red zone.

The Raiders had one final chance to tie the game, but the Giants' Quincy Roche executed a strip sack of Carr, which was recovered by Leonard Williams on New York's 23-yard line with 44 seconds left.

The Giants took the opening drive and marched right down the field 75 yards on seven plays. Jones connected with Evan Engram for a 30-yard touchdown.

The Raiders responded with a touchdown drive of their own, a 73-yard, 10-play drive capped by a 2-yard touchdown pass to Hunter Renfrow from Carr.

Las Vegas took a 10-7 lead in the second quarter on a 25-yard field goal by Daniel Carlson. The score was set up by a Yannick Ngakoue strip sack of Jones that was recovered by defensive tackle Darius Philon on New York's 30-yard line.

The Giants tied the game at 10-all on a 35-yard field goal by Graham Gano with 3:24 remaining in the half. The Raiders grabbed a 13-10 lead on a 32-yard field goal from Carlson just before halftime.

However, New York grabbed a 17-13 lead to start the second half on a 41-yard interception return for a touchdown by McKinney on a Carr pass out to the flat intended for Renfrow.

The two teams traded field goals, with Carlson connecting from 25 yards and Gano from 32 yards. But with the Giants leading 20-16 early in the fourth quarter, Carlson missed from 25 yards, the shortest missed field goal this season.

Gano added a 38-yard field goal with 3:21 remaining for the final tally.
