CJ Abrams is another Nationals bat worth targeting in the home run market tonight. He owns the second highest matchup rating on Batters-Box's current season dataset and enters this matchup swinging one of the hottest bats in baseball. Over his last 60 at bats, Abrams has posted elite power numbers while consistently driving the baseball. He has also excelled in elite Batters-Box matchups this season, especially on the road. With Aaron Nola struggling badly against left handed hitters and Washington projected to score early, Abrams joins James Wood as one of my favorite home run targets on Monday's slate.
James Wood is one of my favorite home run targets on Monday's slate. Aaron Nola has been getting crushed by left handed hitters, allowing elite expected numbers while giving up plenty of hard contact, barrels, and elevated contact over his recent sample. That sets up perfectly for Wood, who owns the highest Batters-Box matchup rating of the day and matches up well against the majority of Nola's arsenal. He's also swinging one of the hottest bats on the Nationals, consistently producing hard contact against right handed pitching. With both the matchup and recent form working in his favor, Wood is worth backing to leave the yard.
I’m playing the Over because the Yankees can do most of the lifting themselves. McGreevy’s season-long ERA looks respectable, but the underlying profile is much louder: a 5.66 xERA, .361 xwOBA allowed, and 10.5% barrel rate.
Cam Schlittler can still control St. Louis, but this total does not require the Cardinals to explode. A Yankees-heavy scoring script gets this close quickly and while Schlittler is still Schlitter, the Cardinals producing a few runs is a completely reasonable expectation.
I like this spot for the New York Yankees, and I’m playing their run line down to -105.
Michael McGreevy is a ground-ball-reliant pitcher, but when he does not get grounders, things get ugly quickly. That is a problem against New York. The Yankees have been a low-groundball offense all season, and over the last 30 days, that rate is even lower at 39.9%, third-lowest in baseball. That should let McGreevy’s bottom-12% barrel rate and bottom-20% hard-hit rate show up early, giving New York a real path to a crooked number.
Brandon Lowe is one of my favorite player props on Monday's slate, and I think the market has this one priced too low. This is his 106th elite Batters-Box rating, and over the previous 105, he has cleared 1.5 hits, runs, and RBI 62.86% of the time, including an impressive 70.21% clip in road elite ratings. Lowe has also been swinging a hot bat against right handed pitching, while Brandon Sproat continues to struggle against lefties. Between the matchup, recent form, and long term Batters-Box trends, Lowe is in an excellent position to cash this prop.
Somehow, some way, the Pirates have scored the second-most runs in baseball in 2026. And even with Oneil Cruz and Ryan O'Hearn sidelined, I like the offense to do enough damage against Brandon Sproat to help run up the score. Bubba Chandler has had his moments, but he's routinely allowing 3-5 runs in a start. He's got heat on the fastball, and that's about it. The Brewers can make him pay. With two shaky starters on the bump, I'll go with the Over.
Rafael Devers is one of my favorite home run looks on Monday's slate if Cal Quantrill gets the start for Texas. Devers owns the third highest Batters-Box rating of the night and has homered in 22.22% of his 261 elite ratings over the last three seasons. He's also entering this matchup with a scorching hot bat, while Quantrill continues to struggle against left handed hitters, allowing elite expected numbers and plenty of hard contact. The combination of Devers' recent form, his pitch mix profile, and Quantrill's inability to contain lefties creates an ideal spot to target a long ball at anything +300 or better.
The Under 8.5 fits behind Webb’s homer suppression, Texas’ recent offensive struggles, and a Giants bullpen that has not allowed a homer over its last 25.1 frames. The Rangers are better at home, but San Francisco’s late-game run prevention gives this matchup a stronger path to stay contained overall tonight.
The wind is blowing in (5-7 mph) at Wrigley, and we have two effective starters, so you know the drill. Matthew Boyd has allowed just two earned runs in his last 20 IP, and he'll have a potent bullpen behind him (2.41 ERA, 3.38 FIP since the Break). The Dodgers are 5-9 O/U in Justin Wrobleski's (2.88 ERA, 0.96 WHIP) last 14 starts.
This line is artificially short because the Dodgers are off a sweep (to the historically hot Red Sox - who cares?) and the Cubs demolish left-handed pitching. Justin Wrobleski's reverse splits (.213/.252/.322 against right-handed hitters) should offset that concern against a lineup projected to feature at least seven righties.
Both bullpens enter in excellent form, giving this matchup a realistic path toward a lower-scoring finish. San Diego’s relief corps continues limiting hard contact, while Arizona’s bullpen has also been dependable lately. With neither lineup showing much recent power, sustained offense could be difficult to generate over nine innings tonight.
Michael King gives San Diego a reliable presence atop the rotation, and the Padres continue to back him with one of baseball’s strongest bullpens. Arizona’s recent offensive dip gives San Diego a favorable matchup, and the Padres should create enough timely offense to edge another close game on the road tonight.
Projected Phils' starter Jesus Luzardo got blasted in his last time out, but before that he had given up just one earned run or less in six straight outings. I think he finds his form against the Nats on Tuesday. Our projections also have the Phillies scoring 5.78 runs, which will provide enough of a cushion to cover.
Okamoto's hitting profile perfectly matches up well against Imanaga’s stuff. The Cubs starter throws a heavy dose of the fastball and gets barreled up at a 10.4% rate. The Jays third baseman barrels the ball better than anyone in the Blue Jays lineup with a 13.5% barrel rate, while owning a 63.2% hard hit rate against the four-seamer.
Atlanta and Chicago send two of the best lineups in baseball to the dish, and they respectively rank eighth and third in wOBA against lefties for the campaign. The two clubs have also trended to the Over, and I'm particularly expecting White Sox southpaw Anthony Kay to struggle considering he's saddled with the fifth-highest xERA in baseball among the 100 pitchers with at least 60 innings this year.
I'm fading Chicago White Sox lefty Anthony Kay on Thursday. He's sporting the fifth-highest xERA among the 100 pitchers with at least 60 innings, after all. Plus, the Atlanta Braves enter ranked eighth in wOBA against southpaws for the season and sixth in overall xwOBA across the past 14 days.
The Yankees rank Top-3 in OPS, ISO, OBP, xWOBA, and hard hit rate when facing left-handed pitching. The Red Sox have hit righties very well over the past four weeks, sitting ninth in wOBA, ninth in ISO, and fourth in batting average. Play the Over to -120.
Ranger Suarez has started four games against teams ranking Top-10 in OPS vs. left-handed pitching, allowing 13 runs and posting a 6.13 ERA during those games. The New York Yankees lead the majors in OPS against lefties so they’re a prime candidate to cause Suarez problems. Playable to -145.
The Braves have dropped five of six while averaging just 2.8 runs per game and ranking 29th in wOBA without Ronald Acuna Jr. (hamstring), and it’s been a smoke-and-mirrors start for veteran lefty Martin Perez, and there’s serious statistical correction ahead of his .230 BABIP and 80.2% strand rate considering they’re both high-end marks about pitchers with at least 60 innings this season. San Francisco is just the offense to kick-start the regression, too. The Giants are pacing the majors in wOBA and fourth in xwOBA over the past 30 days, after all.
Our experts and prediction models are hard at work analyzing the data. Check back shortly for today's picks, or explore our Computer Picks for inspiration.
MLB picks are bet suggestions based on our computer's assessment of the game. Tons of betting data goes into a computer pick, including pitching matchups, injury reports, analytics, and even recent betting trends.
You can use the tables above to help with your bets during the MLB season. The first section includes free, computer-generated picks for daily Major League Baseball games. Baseball bettors can choose to follow the computer, fade the computer, or simply use our computer picks as one element of their betting strategy.
This page also tees up access to deeper betting trends. For example, if a club's run line is favored, you can check their ATS trends, potentially opening up some quality underdog bets.

This is the most common and easiest wager for a bettor to make when it comes to MLB picks. Basically, to win an MLB moneyline pick, you just have to choose which team will win the game.
It's simple: if you bet the White Sox moneyline over the Red Sox and Chicago wins, you win your bet.
The run line is another name for a point spread that you may be more familiar with in NBA and NFL betting. A point spread varies in the NFL and NBA from as little as 0.5 points up to double-digit spreads. A baseball run line is almost always a 1.5-point spread.
The favorite will be -1.5 while the underdog will be +1.5. At the end of the game, if you take away 1.5 runs from the favorite or add 1.5 runs to the underdog and they end up winning the game, you win your MLB pick against the spread.
Another common wager is to bet on the total in baseball, which is a bet on the total runs scored in the baseball game. You are simply choosing whether the final score will be Over or Under that total. Betting the Over/Under on a matchup is a great way to get started in MLB score predictions.
A new and emerging MLB betting market is the NRFI/YRFI bet. These are quick-hitters in which you make a wager on the O/U total of the first inning, typically set at 0.5 runs. Thus, the bet is coined as No Run First Inning or Yes Run First Inning. No need to wait a couple of hours to cash a bet when it could be done in 20 minutes or less.
The above options, moneyline, run line, and Over/Under, can also be placed on the first five innings of a game rather than the full game. Many experienced bettors will use this approach because, typically, this will take bullpens out of the equation and make your job researching the game easier. After all, you can just focus on the starting pitchers.
If you want to combine multiple games into one mega wager, you may consider making a parlay bet. A parlay is when you pick two or more MLB games on one single betting ticket, which will increase the payout of your bet.
But it also comes with more risk, as each of those MLB picks must hit for your ticket to pay out. Our parlay calculator is a great tool to find out what your potential payout would be.

Player props are a great way to hone in on an individual matchup for a game. These types of wagers will be individualized for a player: Will Shohei Ohtani hit a home run? Will Gerrit Cole get seven strikeouts? Will Paul Skenes allow two earned runs?
You simply choose whether this outcome will happen or not. Keeping up to date on daily pitching matchups and batters on a hot streak can give you a huge boost when placing player prop bets.
Lastly, prior to the season and even throughout the season, you can place futures bets on all the long-term awards and outcomes. You can lock in an MLB pick on who will win their division, which squad will win the World Series, or even who will win the Rookie of the Year, MVP, or Cy Young.
