A defeat might mean relegation for West Ham, while Arsenal's triumph could push them toward the Premier League title.
The moods are rather different inside the two squads. With so much at stake, today's West Ham vs. Arsenal predictions explore the cards market.
Here are my free betting picks for Sunday, May 10.
Premier League predictions for West Ham vs Arsenal
My West Ham vs Arsenal best bet: Over 4.5 cards (+165 at Sports Interaction)
Even leaving aside the fact that we'll be witnessing a London derby, the table position will surely heighten the tension ahead of this clash.
Chris Kavanagh has been appointed referee for West Ham against Arsenal on Sunday, and that’s also an important factor.
The experienced official averages 3.89 cards per game. West Ham averages 1.77 bookings per match, while Arsenal stands at 1.29. A tense affair is expected at the London Stadium, and I’ll go for the juicy +165 on over 4.5 cards.

West Ham vs Arsenal same-game parlay (SGP)
In their last two home Premier League matches, West Ham put four past Wolves in a convincing 4-0 win and followed it up with a vital 2-1 triumph over Everton. There is a strong indication they will find the net against Arsenal as well.
West Ham are unbeaten in their last six home Premier League matches; their last longer unbeaten run on home soil (15 games) was between September 2015 and April 2016.
Arsenal have scored 27 goals from set pieces in the Premier League this season, more than any other side. Seventeen of those goals have come from corners, also the most by a team in a single Premier League season.
West Ham, meanwhile, has conceded the most goals from corners (15) in the league, so Arsenal should look to exploit that weakness.
To boost my SGP return to a juicy +725, I’ll top it off with a Viktor Gyökeres contribution. I’ll keep it conservative and back him for a shot on target, despite his form suggesting he could deliver even more.
The Swedish striker has scored nine goals in his last 12 Premier League appearances, the most of any player in that timeframe. His shot conversion rate during that spell stands at 47%, compared to just 15% across his first 21 matches (five goals from 33 shots).
