Two of the most enjoyable teams to watch on the planet meet this Tuesday with PSG and Barcelona set to light up the Parc des Princes in the Champions League. The visiting side features real talent, but the Parisians' ability to rest players domestically gives them the edge, which is why my PSG vs. Barcelona predictions are backing PSG.

The market is split on this game. PSG are underdogs with a 40% chance of winning to Barcelona’s 41%, while the draw is at 20%. The game is on Tuesday, Oct. 20 with kickoff at 3 p.m. ET on Paramount+.

Let's dive into my free Champions League picks.

PSG vs Barcelona predictions

My PSG vs Barcelona top pick: PSG to win (40% probability)

Barcelona face their toughest test of the season while going into Parc des Princes with some injury concerns on defense. If players aren’t at 100%, then PSG’s attack will test them.

The speed among their front three in particular is scary, with trickery on both flanks too. But it’s their direct running that's so terrifying. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Desire Doue can isolate Barcelona’s fullbacks and force the team into doubling up, which will only create more spaces inside for Ousmane Dembele to exploit with his speed.

PSG rested seven of Tuesday’s expected starters this past weekend. That’s kept them fresh, and we’ve seen in the previous two seasons that being able to rest stars hugely helps the French during the most significant games.

My PSG vs Barcelona Over/Under pick: Over 3.5 goals (64% probability)

These are the top two teams in the Champions League table heading into this game week, and the sides have scored a combined total of 19 goals in four contests. PSG’s attackers are stationed in front of a midfield that boasts excellent passing range to slide through balls to them.

Lamine Yamal is hitting new heights for Barcelona right now, with his one-on-one skills creating space for him to either find crosses or shoot, while the work rate and speed of Anthony Gordon can cause problems down the left. Both wide men will exploit spaces left when Achraf Hakimi pushes forward to supplement the PSG attack.

With the Parisians keeping just one clean sheet in their last 10, there are plenty of goals on offer in France.

PSG Over 2.5 goals

I’m expecting PSG to win. They’ve been averaging three goals in their past six games in all competitions. Barcelona are also likely to find the back of the net, with PSG conceding in four straight games.
