This Sunday sees the UEFA Women’s Euro Final with England and Spain battling in Basel, Switzerland to decide the winner.

This game is a rematch of the World Cup Final in 2023, which saw Spain lifting the trophy. Our England vs. Spain predictions and free betting picks expect history to repeat itself on July 27.

England vs Spain picks and predictions

My England vs Spain best bet: Spain to win (-138 at bet365)

The 2025 Women’s Euro culminates with a rematch of the World Cup Final from two years ago, with England facing Spain. The Spanish came out on top in that game, and sadly for the reigning European champions, they should come out on top once more.

Spain outplayed the Lionesses in that game in Australia. Although they’ve met twice since, with both teams taking a win each, it’s Spain who are the better team in 2025, and won 2-1 when these teams last collided back in June.

Spain have conceded just three goals in five games at this tournament and breezed past Italy 3-1, a team who caused England real problems in the semifinal. Spain, like the men’s team, have great ball possession and should be able to dictate terms against a Lionesses team who have been very inconsistent in this tournament.

England have relied on late goals and drama to avoid elimination in both the quarters and semis, but now face a superior Spanish team. That echoes back to last summer’s Men’s Euro, in which the England team did similar before being beaten by Spain in the final.

History is set to repeat itself, with England’s defensive weaknesses set to be taken advantage of.

Spain to win

Esther Gonzalez to score

BTTS - Yes

Esther Gonzalez is the favorite to finish as the tournament’s top goalscorer with four to her name so far, and she’ll fancy her chances against an English defense who are struggling to keep clean sheets.

We’re also expecting both teams to score. The English haven’t looked convincing in this tournament yet, but they’ve still managed 15 goals through five games, with at least one in every single game.

While Spain are the best opposition they’ve faced so far, we’ve seen enough from England — especially their bench — to suggest that they should score.
