Snowjock....I don't mean to be too hard on you BUT you have gone 5-12 in the 17 preseason games you have picked...I just checked all the threads for your posted plays and this is all documented...it's difficult to roll with you on a pick considering this record and that your posts have no analysis or evaluation to them...you may indeed need a ton of LUCK this year!

Miami and the pts. Chief nation look out for a rough season. Only puttin up 12 against the Brown's D, , With LJ getting little to no play, I'll take Miami's finest with free-bees anyday. I'd take the pts now before the line falls to 1. . .

Thanks Orange...I appreciate that...I put A LOT of work and effort into crunching and feel that there is more than luck involved when winning a bet...luck doesn't really exist....we make our own "luck" based on our preparation and hard work...I might tell you "Good Luck" just because it is a perjorative that is commonly used...but having a rabbits foot, a four leaf clover or a "Magic 8 Ball" will not help you win money in sports betting...
I am also NOT a trends guy...what happened in 1986 (or 1992 or 1997 etc. etc.) between these two teams is immaterial...here is what will determine the winner: blocking, tackling, rushing, passing, penalties, turnovers, play-calling, field position and personnel match-ups...when these two teams step on the field Thursday night ALL that will matter is what transpires between the stripes for 60 minutes...how they did performed playing each other at another time is irrelevant because football is a game that is played in the present and not in the past...from time to time I will look at a trend and consider it's ramifications but trends (like records) are made to be broken...I generally take them with a grain of salt...
Thanks again for the nice props, Orange...all I can say is not to take anyone's advice who doesn't have a thoughtful and analytical approach...if they don't understand the complex game of football, they cannot help you IMO...frankly, most of the guys on Covers have never coached, played or scouted at the professional level and their posts continually show that...clever witticisms, funny comments and smarmy comebacks in no way help a man make money in this business...keep crunching, working hard and believing in yourself and good things will follow!

I'll start off by saying that this is my first post here...I recently found this gem of a site and am loving every minute of it...thanks to everyone here...
...that said, this snowjocky dude is somewhat annoying. No offense man, not that YOU are annoying, but why do you have to post BS comments in every single game thread...do I have this to look forward to all season long? If you must post everywhere, post something useful. Please.
Back to football...
I like the Fins in this one...teasing them up should be easy money. I'm leaning toward teasing up the under too, but I won't decide until thursday...
Loving this pre-season so far...I'm 14-3...
GO BENGALS!

After some analysis, I gotta think Miami wins this in a bit of a blowout. KC scored 3 points on offense against Cleveland last week. Their offensive line is pretty bad, LJ is at this point still not in camp, and the offense is struggling at all three levels. Miami is still tooling around its offense but its defense is still good. KC maybe scores if Miami fumbles or throws an interception. Miami should more than cover. However last week I went 2-6 so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. GLA!

You will see Huard play better than he did in Cleveland (2-4-19-1 INT) as will Coyle (5-8-49-1 INT)...Huard did go 5-3 as a starter with 11 TD's and one pick last year...he will play into the 2Q and then Coyle will play the 2Q and the 3Q...Printers will make some plays in the 4th with his feet...he looked decent last week in Cleveland (8-17-64)...Michael Bennett will get more than 3 carries (3 for 28 yards last week) and the KC starters will play most of the first half...it was an 88-yard KOR with 2 minutes left in the game that beat KC last week so while WVU is right that the KC offense only scored three, the defense gave up zilch as all the Browns points came on special teams (3 FG's and 1 KOR)...
Cam Cameron runs a very sophisticated offensive scheme and it takes TIME to learn all the nuances of his offense...in time, Green will run it very well but since he got there so late in the year he didn't have the chance to study it in their QB schools or during off-season work-outs and mini-camps...gee, ya think it will be loud in Arrowhead with 79,000 red-clad Chief fans screaming in front of the National TV cameras?...how easy will it be to audible?...Cleo Lemon is not a quality starter in the NFL and Beck is about to get indoctrinated on how brutal a road game can be for rookie QB in the National Football League...I give Miami all the credit in the world for coming back in the second half and beating Jax but take away the 88-yard TD run by Chatman and they managed 179 yards of total offense...they lack speed and offensive firepower in the starting line-up and with the back-ups..they managed 13 first downs (2 of those via penalty) and held the ball for 24 minutes against Jax...
Sure, I respect Miami's defense but KC picked up some key defensive FA's this past year (I mentioned them last week) and Coach Cunningham will have them attacking the Miami QB's...Coach Edward's program is ahead of Coach Cam's program at this point..one thing you guys may not fully understand is how incredibly difficult it is for a team that is in the initial stages of development to win on the road...it's the toughest task to accomplish by far...
I can't pick against KC in this spot...my plays are:
KC-3 (for the game)
KC -1.5 (for the first half)
KC +3 (in a 2 team six-point teaser - I'll match it with NYJ +1.5)
I know I am the only poster who likes KC...but I am rolling with them this Thursday...hope you all do well!

Scorp, I'll start posting in this section during the regular season - I don't bet any kind of serious money in the preseason & don't want to mislead anybody into thinking otherwise. But you bet your ass I'll be ready come week 1.

Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas and Keith Traylor will not play for Miami...
thanks 3rd and Long...look forward to rolling with you this season..
Orange..I do not mess too much with totals...the "conventional wisdom" would point to an under here but I rarely play totals and will not play this one...I am not picking a total in this game..
Hope everybody has a great weekend!

Trent Green will get his chance to shine before his old fans in Kansas City Thursday as he starts and is scheduled to play one quarter against the Chiefs in Miami's second preseason game.
Cleo Lemon is scheduled to play the second quarter, according to the Dolphins. Rookie John Beck is scheduled to play the third quarter and into the fourth and Gibran Hamdan is scheduled to play part of the fourth quarter.
The Dolphins also confirmed veteran defenders Zach Thomas, Jason Taylor and Keith Traylor will not play.
-Miami Herald
In my mind, there is a significant advantage for the Chiefs at the QB position with this rotation..
