The NHL regular season wraps up for all eight teams in action this Wednesday, and the Dallas Stars are the only club with anything on the line.

Still, all eyes will be on the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Tampa Bay Lightning bout with stars Auston Matthews and Nikita Kucherov respectively looking to score goal No. 70 and record assist No. 100. Additionally, Dallas is the largest favorite in the NHL odds on the docket, while Toronto is the lone team playing for a second consecutive night.

Here are our free NHL picks and top NHL player props for Wednesday, April 17.

Today’s NHL prop picks and best bets

Prop bet #1: Duchene delivers in Big D

Dallas Stars center Matt Duchene is skidding along his worst offensive stretch of the season and has missed the scoresheet in 12 of his past 15 games. He recorded 3.23 points per 60 minutes through the first 64 contests of the year, so his 1.47 mark during the noted slump is eyeing statistical correction.

The Stars can also secure the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a win Wednesday, so I expect them to show up on home ice against the visiting St. Louis Blues. Duchene has been more productive on home ice with 0.87 points per game compared to 0.75 on the road, and the Blues allow a healthy 3.25 goals per game on the highway, including 18 across their past four. The home-road splits are another reason to target these Matt Duchene odds.

Matt Duchene prop: Over 0.5 points (-125 at Bet99)

Prop bet #2: No blues for Robertson

The Blues have nothing to play for and allow the eighth-most shots per game (32.4) on the road, so this is a solid setup for Stars winger Jason Robertson to clear this total. He paces the club in both shots (227) and attempts (469) and is also a go-to shooter on the No. 1 power-play unit.

So, while the Dallas winger’s shot volume is down to 9.19 from last year’s 12.16 mark, that’s priced into these Jason Robertson odds because he regularly traded at a 3.5-shot total in 2022-23 and to start this season.

Jason Robertson prop: Over 2.5 shots (-150 at Bet99)

Prop bet #3: Go with Guenther

The Edmonton Oilers will finish second in the Pacific Division regardless of Wednesday’s result against the Arizona Coyotes, so the Oilers leaking in the effort department wouldn’t be shocking. Arizona winger Dylan Guenther has emerged as a high-volume shooter down the stretch and topped this total in 18 of his past 28 games while sporting a team-high 11.13 shots and 20.48 attempts per 60 minutes.

Additionally, Guenther is flashing chemistry with playmaking center Logan Cooley, and the duo have actually driven 5-on-5 possession with a 51.2 Corsi For percentage. I also value these Dylan Guenther odds because he jumps the boards with the No. 1 power-play unit and is a go-to shooter with the man advantage.

Dylan Guenther prop: Over 2.5 shots (-135 at Bet99)
