Prop pick #1: Mikko Rantanen 1+ assists

Novig probability: 53%

Mikko Rantanen recorded assists at a higher rate last season than anyone sharing the ice with him tonight, and it's not particularly close.

The Finn recorded a helper in 21 of 31 home games last season (68%) and is priced at just 53% to record his second apple of the season tonight. He faces a San Jose Sharks team ranking in the bottom third of the league in both goals and shots allowed in this young 2026-27 season.

He's yet to face the Sharks as a member of the Dallas Stars, but he's racked up 19 helpers in 25 career games against San Jose.

  • Matchup: Sharks vs. Stars
  • Time: 8 p.m. ET
  • Location: American Airlines Center, Dallas, Texas
  • TV: Prime Video

Prop pick #2: Tyson Foerster 2+ shots

Novig probability: 57%

It usually doesn't take long to find value in shots-on-goal markets, especially this early in the season. Cue Tyson Foerster, who was playing at a 37-goal pace in 2025-26 before a shoulder injury prematurely ended his season.

Priced at a measly 57% against the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight, he's cleared 2+ SOG in nine of 11 games since January 1 (82%) and in 69% of games since the start of 2025-26 — both marks that lead the Philadelphia Flyers over this span.

The 2020 first-rounder has fired six shots on goal through three games this season and has cleared this line in six straight road games.

  • Matchup: Flyers vs. Lightning
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET
  • Location: Benchmark International Arena, Tampa, Fla.
  • TV: NBCS-Philadelphia, The Spot

Goal scorer pick: Yegor Chinakhov

Novig probability: 30%

Yegor Chinakhov has scored in 18 of 45 regular-season games (40%) since January 1, yet is priced at just 30% to score against a Hellebuyck-less Winnipeg Jets squad. Winnipeg turns to Clay Stevenson in net, who has just five games of NHL experience.

Chinakhov scored in the Pittsburgh Penguins' season opener against Philadelphia and had a goal overturned against Montreal. His time on ice is up nearly two minutes per game from last season, and he's scored at a higher rate than any Penguin since being acquired from Columbus.

  • Matchup: Jets vs. Penguins
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET
  • Location: PPG Paints Arena, Pittsburgh, Penn.
  • TV: SportsNet-Pittsburgh, Sportsnet+
