Jets vs Flames prediction

Jets vs Flames Best bet: Jonathan Huberdeau Over 1.5 shots (-130)

Jonathan Huberdeau has recorded multiple shots on goal in six of his past seven games. That’s no coincidence as his line — also featuring Morgan Frost and Matt Coronato — has dominated the run of play and piled up the shots in the offensive zone.

That trio has won the shot-on-goal battle 60-26 at 5-on-5 since Calgary Flames head coach Ryan Huska assembled them.

A boatload of offensive zone starts has helped the cause, but favorable usage only makes the line that much more effective and reliable when predicting nightly outputs.

Huberdeau has attempted at least four shots in four of his past five games. Dating back to last season, he has multiple shots on target in 81% of his games when reaching that benchmark.

At full-strength, the Winnipeg Jets rank 24th in shot suppression and 28th in shot share over the last 10 games. With plenty of offensive zone starts to boot, Huberdeau and co. should spend plenty of time on the attack.

Jets vs Flames same-game parlay

Huberdeau leads the Flames in 5-on-5 production and is skating on their most dangerous line in that game state. Factor in that he also plays on the No. 1 power play, and he’ll have every opportunity to find the scoresheet.

Gabriel Vilardi started the season with eight assists over his first 11 games. He has since come up empty-handed in five straight. Playing with Winnipeg’s two leading goal scorers, he’s bound to pick up a helper sooner or later.
