Canucks vs Panthers Prediction, Picks & Same-Game Parlay for Tonight’s NHL Game

Brock Boeser has piled up more shots away from Vancouver than on home ice, and he should get plenty of power-play time against a Panthers team that racks up the PIMs.

Brock Boeser has generated shots consistently this season, going Over his total in 13 of 18 games.

My Canucks vs. Panthers predictions are banking on Boeser building on his shooting success, perhaps aided by plenty of reps on the power play.

Canucks vs Panthers prediction

Canucks vs Panthers Best bet: Brock Boeser Over 1.5 shots on goal (-155)

Brock Boeser has done a good job of putting his shot to use this season. He’s done his best work on the road, where he ranks second on the Vancouver Canucks with an average of 2.66 shots per game.

The Canucks have opted to use Boeser on a different line than Elias Pettersson. He tends to get easier matchups as a result, which could play a part in why his shot rate spikes on the road.

The Florida Panthers are good at suppressing shots during 5-on-5 play. Luckily for Boeser and the Canucks, they tend to take a lot of penalties.

Florida has averaged 3.75 minors per game over their last 10, the fifth-most in the NHL during that time frame.

There should be plenty of power-play minutes for Boeser to go to work, giving him extra time and space to threaten with his shot.

Boeser has recorded multiple shots in seven of nine road games to date. The only teams he went under against were the Blues (second-fewest penalties per game) and the Hurricanes, who are notoriously good at killing penalties.

Canucks vs Panthers same-game parlay

Jake DeBrusk has hit the scoresheet in four of his last five, including against quality opponents like the Avalanche, Jets, and Lightning. He leads the Canucks in power-play goals by far, and this is a good spot for Vancouver to get run on the man advantage.

Sam Reinhart has averaged 3.3 shots per game on well over seven attempts when playing on home ice. The Canucks are a high-event team, and playing their third road game in four nights, so Reinhart should generate volume in this spot.

Canucks vs Panthers SGP

  • Brock Boeser Over 1.5 shots on goal
  • Jake DeBrusk Over 0.5 points
  • Sam Reinhart Over 2.5 shots on goal
