After getting eviscerated by C.J. Stroud last week, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers could be in an even worse spot this week when they host a Tennessee Titans team who have the rest advantage and enter as slight road dogs in the latest NFL odds.
With the Bucs’ secondary possibly entering Week 10 without both of its starting corners, can bettors rely on the Tennessee play-calling to take advantage of a great opportunity within its passing game?

Titans vs Buccaneers predictions
Over the last four games, opposing quarterbacks have shredded a Tampa Bay Buccaneers secondary that ranks dead last in success rate and EPA/dropback since Week 6. To make matters worse, they could be without both starting corners this week as Jamel Dean (concussion) and Carlton Davis (toe) both didn't practice on Wednesday.
Having played on Thursday night in Week 9, the Tennessee Titans are coming off extra rest and bettors can only hope that Tim Kelly and Mike Vrabel are a little less conservative. Quite frankly, that is the only factor keeping this game from being exciting and high-scoring.
This will be Will Levis’ third start and the most prep he’s had for a game considering the rookie was coming off a short week vs. the Steelers in prime-time. The Titans have to know running against the Bucs is a fool’s errand as they rank as a Top-10 rush defense over the last month and are much easier to pass against.
Meanwhile, the Bucs now face a Tennessee defense that ranks in the bottom third in success rate on the season despite facing Kenny Pickett, Taylor Heinicke, and Gardner Minshew in three of the last four games.
The Titans are also likely to be down Sean Murphy-Bunting, as the starting corner has been declared doubtful by his head coach. All signs point to this game as an upgrade for both passing offenses, with only Kelly and Vrabel’s potential play-calling blunder keeping this number from moving closer to 40.

Titans vs Buccaneers same-game parlay
Both teams to score 20+ points
DeAndre Hopkins Over 59.5 receiving yards
Rachaad White Over 23.5 receiving yards
I'm hitting both teams to score 20+ points to boost these odds. Both secondaries are injured and have weak points to attack for the opposing offenses. Levis has shown he can get the ball downfield and Baker Mayfield has no run game to lean on, meaning he'll be airing it out consistently against a Titans' secondary without its best coverage corner in Murphy-Bunting.
If Tampa establishes a positive game script, things could really open up here just like the Tampa/Houston game last week that finished with over 800 yards and 76 points.

Titans vs Buccaneers spread and Over/Under analysis
The Bucs sat as a 1-point home favorite on the look-ahead, reopened at -1.5, and have hit as low as a pick'em. The health of the Tampa secondary will likely dictate where this number closes.
The total has hit as high as 39, but that’s been it so far. The best case for Over bettors here is the Bucs jump out a decent lead and the Titans have to play catch-up. If Tennessee is milking a lead, the pace of this game could slow down.
Tampa is struggling to run the ball and possesses one of the lowest run rates over the last three weeks at 35%. Baker Mayfield is completing a career-high 65% of his attempts and this Tennessee secondary has faced some of the worst passing offenses in football in Pittsburgh, Atlanta, and Indianapolis over the last four games.
Trey Palmer is dealing with an injury and if he were to sit, Deven Thompkins would join the Tampa 3-WR sets, but tight end Cade Otton and running back Rachaad White could easily absorb some of Palmer’s 11% target share. Tampa ran 11 personnel at a 71% clip last week.
With Murphy-Bunting also likely out, a poor Tennessee secondary will be even worse this week as he is by far the team’s best coverage corner.
The Tampa red-zone defense was playing at an unsustainable clip on the season at 30% heading into Week 9, and over the last three weeks ranks in the middle of the pack at 46%. The Titans have not been great in the RZ at all this year, but down possibly two starting corners will surely create some coverage and communication issues in that Tampa secondary.
I could see the Bucs having success in the air (they can’t run the ball), which hopefully turns into a positive game script, making the Titans increase their pass rate. It could also be another big game for DeAndre Hopkins as well, as the former All-Pro wideout has garnered 37% of the team’s receiving yards since Levis jumped in.
