A pair of NFC West rivals square off on Thursday Night Football with the Arizona Cardinals hosting the Seattle Seahawks.
Arizona took Marvin Harrison Jr. with the fourth pick in the 2024 draft, and many expected him to play at a Pro Bowl level from day one.
While he's been maddeningly inconsistent so far in his career, my NFL picks bet on him to bounce back from an ugly Week 3 performance.
Harrison headlines my three favorite Seahawks vs Cardinals player props on Thursday, September 25.
Seahawks vs Cardinals TNF props
Player | Pick | |
---|---|---|
Over 221.5 passing yards | -110 | |
Over 43.5 receiving yards | -110 | |
Over 213.5 passing yards | -110 |
Sam Darnold Over 221.5 passing yards (-110)
Sam Darnold is coming off a Pro Bowl season with the Vikings, where he threw for 4,319 yards and 35 touchdowns. Darnold is proving last year wasn't a fluke by leading the league in passing grade (91.4) per PFF.
Last week, he threw for 218 yards despite attempting just 18 passes before sitting out the fourth quarter in a blowout win. With this spread close to a pick'em, we should see a more competitive game resulting in an uptick in pass attempts.
I'm not sold on the Arizona Cardinals' defense, which faced Spencer Rattler in their season opener before benefitting from a banged-up 49ers offense led by a backup QB last week.
Bryce Young threw for 328 yards against them in Week 2, and I expect this secondary to get exposed again.
Marvin Harrison Jr. Over 43.5 receiving yards (-110)
Marvin Harrison Jr. has been heavily criticized for a poor game on Sunday. He had one drop on a deep pass where there wasn't a defender even close to him, and he also failed to corral a throw to the end zone.
That said, if Harrison had held on to those balls, he would have racked up more than 100 yards (he finished with 44), and he also had five catches for 71 yards in Arizona's season opener.
The sophomore entered the NFL with sky-high expectations and eclipsed the 45-yard mark in six of his final eight games last season. He's still easily the most talented WR on Arizona's roster, and this is a buy-low spot for him in a good matchup.
The Seattle Seahawks' top corner Devon Witherspoon has been limited in practice, making it likely he'll miss his third-straight game. That means Harrison will see plenty of Riq Woolen, who has a coverage grade of just 39.1 — the second-worst number among CBs with at least 50 coverage snaps.
Kyler Murray Over 213.5 passing yards (-110)
Kyler Murray has gone below this number in two of three games this year. That said, a positive game script limited his pass attempts in Week 1, while three drops skewed his production last week.
Murray had thrown for more than 220 passing yards in seven of his final eight games last season. That included a pair of contests against Seattle, where he threw for 259 and 285 yards, respectively.
While the Seahawks have a solid defense, they've been significantly better against the run than the pass. They're 20th in the league in defensive dropback success rate, and I expect the Cards' offensive coordinator, Drew Petzing, to attack that area.
This is a five-star prop play according to EV Analytics, which is projecting 251.89 passing yards for Murray on Thursday.
