Two NFC West rivals collide on Thursday Night Football, as the Seattle Seahawks and Arizona Cardinals aim to prove they’re for real.

The Cardinals opened as favorites but now sit as 1.5-point home underdogs, with the total set at a modest 43.5.

Both teams enter at 2-1, but my Seahawks vs. Cardinals predictions believe Arizona is overrated, while Seattle is a legit Super Bowl contender.

Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from State Farm Stadium in Glendale, with the game airing on Prime Video.

Seahawks vs Cardinals prediction

Seahawks vs Cardinals Best bet: Seahawks moneyline (-120)

After showing some rust in Week 1 vs. the 49ers, the Seattle Seahawks have responded in a big way by destroying both the Steelers and the Saints by a combined score of 75-30.

They’re getting contributions everywhere with strong defensive and special teams play, while Sam Darnold is settling in at QB, with Seattle ranking third in yards per pass attempt so far this season.

This defense has shown a lot of potential early on, which shouldn’t come as a surprise given head coach Mike Macdonald’s track record in Baltimore and at Michigan. Through three games, they haven’t allowed more than 17 points.

The Arizona Cardinals' offense isn’t exactly on fire to start the season, as they rank in the bottom half of the league in both points per game and yards per play.

While it might seem like Arizona is off to a respectable start on the surface, there are plenty of holes we can poke. It’s easy to be skeptical of them after facing an opposing quarterback schedule of Spencer Rattler, Bryce Young, and Mac Jones.

That’s not exactly Pro Bowl-level competition for the Cardinals defense. Despite that, they’ve still allowed the third-most passing yards in the league.

The Seahawks have also owned them in recent seasons, winning each of the last seven against them, most notably holding the Cards to just 24 total points in their two matchups from last season.

Seahawks vs Cardinals TNF same-game parlay

I think Seattle’s path to victory in this matchup will come through the air, so let’s back Darnold and his top pass-catcher to have a substantial impact.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba is building great chemistry with Darnold, as he has back-to-back games with 100+ yards and double-digit targets. He had 77 and 82 yards, respectively, in two games vs. the Cards last season.

Seahawks vs Cardinals 3-leg SGP (+540)

  • Seahawks moneyline (-120)
  • Sam Darnold Over 220.5 passing yards (-115)
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 80.5 receiving yards (-115)

Our big-ticket SGP: McBride's Got It Made

  • Trey McBride torched Seattle for 203 total receiving yards in two games against them last season.
  • Seattle has allowed the most catches to tight ends this season and the seventh-most yards.

Seahawks vs Cardinals 4-leg SGP (+1098)

  • Seahawks moneyline (-120)
  • Sam Darnold Over 220.5 passing yards (-115)
  • Jaxon Smith-Njigba Over 80.5 receiving yards (-115)
  • Trey McBride Over 63.5 receiving yards (-115)

Seahawks vs Cardinals game predictions

Seahawks vs Cardinals moneyline prediction

I think Seattle is the more complete team, and I love the momentum they're riding off their last two blowout wins.

Arizona will really feel the absence of James Conner as their offense is extremely light on weapons.

Seahawks vs Cardinals spread prediction

This looks like a great early-season spot where we can take advantage of fading a Cardinals team that’s limped to a 2-1 start against some pretty weak competition.

Seahawks vs Cardinals Over/Under prediction

The Under looks like the play here. While Seattle’s defense has a very high ceiling, the Cardinals’ D has posted some respectable numbers.

It’s fair to criticize Arizona’s competition, but all they can do is play the schedule that’s in front of them.

Seahawks vs Cardinals odds

  • Spread: Seattle -1.5 | Arizona +1.5
  • Moneyline: Seattle -120 | Arizona +100
  • Over/Under: Over 43.5 | Under 43.5

Seahawks vs Cardinals latest injuries

Cardinals running back James Conner is done for the year after a severe lower-leg injury suffered last Sunday against the 49ers. He’ll undergo surgery and has been ruled out for tonight’s matchup with Seattle, removing Arizona’s most reliable chain-mover and red-zone finisher from the equation.

With Conner shelved, rookie Trey Benson inherits lead-back duties behind an offensive line that will need to manufacture yards after contact. Expect Arizona to lean on Benson’s burst and mix in screens and zone reads to keep the Seahawks honest, but losing Conner’s pass protection and late-game ballast is a real hit to the Cards’ offensive floor.

Seahawks vs Cardinals weather

Expect a hot desert evening outside at kickoff time with the temperature hovering around 96°F near 7:00 p.m. and easing to the mid-80s by late game, with skies trending mostly clear after a slight late-afternoon storm chance.

State Farm Stadium’s retractable roof status is decided on game day, and the team directs fans to the Cardinals Roof Hotline (623-433-7663) for the official call. Given the heat and recent pop-up storm risk, the roof is likely to be closed, which means weather should have little to no impact on play. If it were open, late-day heat could modestly affect stamina and hydration, but there’s no meaningful wind in the forecast.
