Rams vs 49ers predictions
Here are our early thoughts on the spread and total for this week’s game. We will have a full game preview (with a best bet and SGP) later in the week.
Early Rams vs 49ers spread pick: Rams -3.5
The Los Angeles Rams are absolutely rolling right now. They’re 6-2, which puts them in second in the division, and a win here could put L.A. in a great position ahead of Week 11 against the Seahawks, who sit first in the division.
Sean McVay’s squad has collected three straight victories, and they’ve all been blowouts. The Rams just beat the Saints 34-10 on Sunday, and they also took down the Jaguars by a 35-7 scoreline on October 19 before their bye week.
This is usually a very close matchup when they play the San Francisco 49ers. The Rams lost by three points to them last season, while winning by only six points in the meeting before that. Still, L.A. is 6-2 ATS this season and 2-1 ATS on the road.
I do expect them to win this contest, and while I don't think it will be a blowout, the Rams will find a way to cover.
Early Rams vs 49ers total pick: Under 49.5
Both of these teams have no issues scoring the football, but history speaks for itself. Three of the last four meetings between these two NFC West rivals have stayed Under the total. Last season’s clash finished at 49 points, and that went to overtime.
We rarely see a shootout when the Rams and 49ers face off. Los Angeles hasn’t faced many tough opponents as of late, but their defense has been shining. They’ve only allowed 17 points across the last two games. San Fran’s offense isn’t as consistent, but it should be able to make some noise at home. However, keep in mind, L.A. is giving up only 15.9 points per game.
While both teams will trade blows, I don’t see a high-scoring matchup on Sunday. The Under offers value.
